Considering they still won't give a release date. It's hard to tell if it will be out by next year, some people are saying SE has a release date they just won't say.

It probably didn't sell well because everyone that knows about the game were the ones that bought it over it attracting new fans. If people don't find it interesting enough to buy that's not my problem. We all love it and that's what matters, some people don't know what they're missing.
