They aren't really different apparently. Story is same in both games, but Unchained X is in stages, while X is free roam worlds. That's what I've heard.

The differences aren't fully known yet. They have only just started to diverge, very slightly, story wise. More difference will become apparent as updated are added to both games.

Yeah. Even though he lost the Kingdom Key, he was still a chosen Keyblade weilder. He only lost the Kingdom Key, not the ability to weild altogether and a wielder will always get their Keyblade.
