  1. Never played P1 or either of the P2 games and know basically nothing about them, but for the latter three: I think P3P is my favorite experience because it felt like the tighest story (it never really loses momentum the way P4 and P5 do for me, especially P4) and it has replayability bonus due to the male and female protags having different S. Links. Minako's definitely the superior experience of the two, though I would recommend doing male protagonist first (which is what I did so. It may be why I prefer this way). But enjoyment-wise, P5's awesome, and it felt really easy to connect to the characters. And it has the best gameplay as well, really. So it's really between P3P and P5 for me. It's funny that I don't care that much for P4 when it was my first, but... I don't know. Not the biggest fan of that one, is all.
  2. Really excited about his trainer, she looks like she's gonna be a lot of fun. I'm kinda suspecting I know how the movie ends, and if I'm right I'm probably gonna enjoy it quite a bit.
  3. Pablo Hidalgo, who is part of the Lucasfilm story group, has said that "grey Jedi" is the same as saying that you're a vegetarian that eats meat. Jedi is a religion. If you use the dark side you are going against Jedi Order code, and as such are not a Jedi. Grey Jedi is right up there with Jaina and Jacen Solo in possibility of showing up in the new Canon. "Non-aligned Force users" is how it should be called. Gray Jedi makes no sense when one considers what a Jedi IS. "Jedi" is a branch of Force users, just as "Sith" and "Dathomirian Witches" are. And using the dark side is against Jedi code. That being so, gray Jedi = non-existent thing. Ahsoka also never used the dark side, she just isn't a Jedi because she left the Jedi Order and it's teachings behind because of what the Jedi Council did to her, so she's hardly "gray Jedi" material anyway even if that WAS a thing.
  4. Frozen 1 was mostly about Anna. So I assume the sequel will be about Elsa to balance it out.
  5. Grey Jedi isn't a thing that exists. Bendu's no Jedi, neither is Ahsoka. The term you're looking for is non-aligned Force user.
  6. I'm not ready for this show to end *cries* I'll make a recap of the panel in the SWCO thread later, but I'm too emotionally compromised at the moment for it. Trailer was awesome though, Vanessa killed it with that narration at the start.
  7. Fun stuff: - When Rey goes "Darkness. Balance." there are some lines playing in the background. Being exact, Leia's "help me, Obi-Wan" is one of them, but I'm unsure on the others. - New Resistance ship! It seems to match the description Aftermath Empire's End gives to the Republic's new ship Starhawk. A-Wings are also seen on the trailer. - Luke's big line in the end is interesting, and I have some thoughts on it, but can't quite process them right now. I'll find it interesting to know if he reached that conclusion after Ben went rogue, or if he also didn't teach the Jedi way per se when Ben was his student alongside others.
  8. Someone made a topic for the trailer, so I'll just give the deeds on some fun tidbits from the panel itself. - Kelly Marie Tran's character is named Rose, and she's a Resistance technician that accidentally gets wrapped up on an adventure with Finn. They played Across the Stars when she walked into the panel, so I wonder if she's Finn's love interest or something along these lines - Daisy says that part of Rey's conflict comes from meeting Luke. Because she has certain expectations of him, but sometimes meeting your heroes doesn't quite end up like one would expect. I imagine Luke's final line in the trailer may play into that. - From what Hamill says, the big parts of Luke's story between RotJ and TFA are still left untold, and will probably be covered in other media after the movie comes out - According to John, Finn needs to decide for once and for all if what he wants is to help the Resistance, or just run from the First Order. Which makes sense, he only goes back for Rey, and Rey's with Luke at the moment. - BB-8 has a lot of comedic presence in this movie, just like he had on TFA. For less important to the movie stuff, Hamill joked about having no lines in TFA, saying that when he first read the script he thought he'd come in in the third act, so when the Skywalker saber moved in the snow he thought "this is it. It's me" and then it flew.... To Rey. He seems to have bonded with Rian Johnson because both were scared of messing up the movie. Kelly had to keep her part a secret for four months, so she convinced her family she was doing an indie movie in Canada. When she went home she bought maple syrup so her family would believe she was actually in Canada. There's also some fun stuff with Carrie as Leia, apparently. I'll discuss trailer tidbits in the trailer thread. Next up for me is the Heroines of SW panel, I'm still too high over the trailer to set down for the Rogue One panel. Heroines of SW didn't have much new stuff - it was about representation and stuff more than anything - but it was really fun. Ahsoka doll confirmed (she and Padmé were the leads left out of the first dolls announcement, now only Padmé left unconfirmed), and the dolls look way less creepy in person. There will be a short with s2 Sabine/Leia team up in Forces of Destiny. Tiya Sircar played Greek Goddesses with her sisters when she was a kid and they all fought to play Athena. She also got really excited over Sabine doll, because there were no dolls that looked like her when she young. Dave Filoni's advice for men writing female characters: "shut up and listen to women". I'm pretty sure it was already a known fact and I kinda figured, but when George Lucas came up with the idea of Anakin having a Pawadan, Dave was the one who suggested a girl. Daisy Ridley came up on stage briefly to talk voicing Rey for Forces of Destiny, she said it was different and exciting even though she hated the sound of her own voice. Ahsoka doll comes with a cat, for some likely short related reason. Sabine's comes with the helmet, as expected (all her figures do). Tomorrow's Rebels, so I'll probably be excited about it even more than today. It wasn't streamed, but two comics (Phasma miniseries and Star Wars Adventures) were announced, as well as three books (Phasma, The Legends of Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia of Alderaan). Really excited about the last book in particular. More Alderaan material is always welcome.
  9. The 40 years of SW panel was one of the most emotional things I watched in my life. I was close to crying in the opening video, and then the memorial to Carrie in the end just pushed me over the edge, especially when John Williams came on to play her theme. Some of the best quotes were George Lucas' "I wasn't supposed to say this, and I'm not supposed to say this. But Star Wars is a movie for 12 year olds." and Dave Filoni's "Don't make decisions based of fear". Liam Neeson and Samuel L Jackson's messages were hilarious. And I'm so glad Hayden got the cheering he did when he got on stage, it is his first Celebration in 15 years after all. And Harrison Ford!!! Can't believe all it took to make him like SW was to kill Han. No announcements there, but I wasn't expecting there to be one. Just a really beautiful tribute to an amazing franchise. Next up is Dave and Pablo on animation, I believe. Here's to hoping for more information on the untold stories of The Clone Wars. For the animation panel, Dave confirmed we'll find out Ahsoka's fate in s4 of Rebels, Wolffe and Gregor will return. They showed an unfinished TCW clip that's part of an arc where Cad Bane mentors Boba Fett. All in all a pretty great panel, though there were issues with the stream.
  10. SWCO starts today, so as not every piece of news will likely be worthy it's own topic, I thought I'd do a general one. While it hasn't started yet, we already have the first piece of news: Forces of Destiny. Those are 16 canon animated shorts, 8 coming out during this summer and the next 8 during fall, focusing on Star Wars' female characters. Maz Kanata will narrate every short, and yes, Lupita will be doing her voice. Daisy Ridley is giving voice to Rey, John Boyega to Finn, Vanessa Marshall to Hera, Ashley Ackstein to Ahsoka, Felicity Jones to Jyn, Catherine Taber to Padmé, Tiya Sircar to Sabine and Matt Lanter to Anakin Skywalker. I believe those are all the announced VAs so far? I am excited about this one, tbh. I am always up for animation, and that's across all eras of SW. And Hera is gonna meet Han Solo!!
  11. If Ven is 10-11 here, Blaine could be 10-11 too, so while Ven winds up in present time 4-5 years before BBS, Blaine takes a bit longer, getting to RG a little while before BBS, and he's traumatized by things he can't even remember and doesn't really speak, so Ansem and Even start calling him Ienzo. I don't really think that's the case, but it's a possibility.
  12. Riku's Master, Sora's in his second Mark of Mastery and will probably become a Master soon, and Kairi's training in the hyperbolic time chamber Merlin created for Lea. They don't need to be "pupils", that implies apprenticeship. They could train together though.
  13. Went with "at least I have some", but I'm also really fond of game!Days' "it doesn't matter how often we see each other..." "'As long as we keep each other in our thoughts we'll never be apart', right? We've got your hooky speeches memorized, Axel" between Axel and Xion.
  14. The explanation when KH2 came out was that Nobodies were like Somebodies with "minor differences". Going by BBS, apparently as minor as Axel's tattoos, but Naminé having a different hair color was easy enough to explain. Roxas... Not so much. He WAS designed to look a lot like Sora, that's why Xemnas says Sora "looks a lot like you", but there were way more differences than Naminé and Kairi.
  15. Ansem putting his data inside Sora was mentioned for the first time in Blank Points, actually. But yeah, the data was given to Riku in DDD, and gets a mention in 0.2. Mickey learns the data exists in coded tho, because Data-Naminé mentions it.
  16. Ansem the Wise's data is about that. Roxas Xion and Naminé are gonna get taken out of Sora and Kairi in KH3.
  17. I really like Skuld's. We need more girls with long hair. Of course that also means "more girls" in general.
  18. Loved it. Maul's last words were perfect and that was probably the most straightforward lightsaber duel this franchise has had since ANH, and since the ANH one also had Ben, it makes sense. The creators explained the reasoning of making their final duel the way it was in Twin Suns' Rebels Recon, and that was great. Maul tries to use the move that killed Qui-Gon against Obi-Wan, but Obi-Wan manages to anticipate it and cut through Maul's weapon.
  19. My favorite medal is probably KH2 illustrated Kairi, I am attached to that medal ever since it first came out in JP and I finally managed to get it last week. I'm in Ursus. And I enjoy the game a lot. I started quite late so even not being f2p wouldn't help me that much when it comes to being competitive in the JP HSC and Coliseum, so having enough to get the story quests done is enough for me, even if I don't understand JP and as such the story cutscenes tend to not tell me much.
  20. Mark Hamill because SW and all his cartoon roles, honestly. For KH I wouldn't have too much interest meeting anyone, don't really care about KH's voice acting.
  21. Gaston. Really well choreographed, and both Josh Gad and Luke Evans sold it really well. Not talking their voices since I saw it dubbed (and the dubbing was very very good) but their presence in the scene. Be Our Guest's a very close second tho, it genuinely impressed me they were able to make that scene look good.
  22. All worlds begin in Disney, and all so end. The heart is no different. Disney sprouts within it, grows, consumes it. Such is its nature. In the end, every heart returns to the Disney whence it came. You see, Disney is the heart's true essence. I am always up for obvious moneygrabs, apparently, because I'd totally watch most of those. But let some of these become a bit older first.
