Guys we are one day away
Not gonna lie, I've never understood how Level 1 runs are even remotely possible. But kudos to you and everyone else who's ever been able to accomplish one!

Guys we are one day away
I've been playing through the various Kingdom Hearts entries at random, trying to 100% the games, playing the story again, etc. I've also been working on a KH crochet project that's nearly finished. Will post pics when it's done.

Allwil13's status update
I never understood why so many people hated the command board in Birth by Sleep. Playing it now, in the Mirage Arena, I get it. It sucks.

30 Days to KH3 challenge, DAY 31!
Day 28 Favourite quote. Hoo boy, this is a tough one. I think I have to go with this one from Ansem just before the final battle in KH1, though: "Take a look at this tiny place. To the heart seeking freedom, this island is a prison surrounded by water. And so this boy sought out to escape from his prison. He sought a way to cross over into other worlds. And he opened his heart to darkness." To be honest, I never really thought much of this quote until I played Kingdom Hearts 3D, and then it was revealed that Young Xehanort also fit the description of this quote. It was revealed that Young Xehanort also desperately wanted to leave the Destiny Islands and explore other worlds, and that he evidently eventually managed to do so. When I replayed the first Kingdom Hearts and heard this quote, I was abruptly shocked by a new theory that the series' story was probably planned out right from the get go, and that this quote very well may have intentionally been referring to both Riku and Xehanort. It added this whole new level of connection between KH1 and its subsequent sequels that I'd never sensed before.

Aero Magic
Holy crap. No I did not know that! Gonna go check those out right now. Thanks for the tip!

Aero Magic
I never really used the summons in KHII. I wasn't a fan of how they were set up and the whole system just felt really rushed and last minute. But It's nice to hear that KHII also had a Regen mechanic in some form.

Non-Spoiler - Rumored DLC character in KH3
Secret party member, perhaps?

Aero Magic
I think that's what the Tinker Bell summon did in Kingdom Hearts 1, and the Oogie Boogie card did that in Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories. I don't think they brought it back in any later entries, though. Which is a real shame because it can be so useful and has pulled me out of a jam more than once.

Replace two worlds, add one
Replace Olympus with Atlantis, the Hundred Acre Wood with Gargoyles (not for mini games, just a regular world), and add Princess and the Frog.

Aero Magic
I actually kind of liked Fire in KHII. I preferred the projectile but I thought the KHII was good for crowd control, particularly when I would get swarmed by enemies. Gravity is another spell I miss from KH1. They've never been able to provide a suitable replacement either.

30 Days to KH3 challenge, DAY 31!
Day 27 Favourite kingdom hearts game for gameplay. Kingdom Hearts 3D, no contest. The flowmotion was amazing and soooooo fun to use, and it made battles much more interesting as well, not to mention making travel in the worlds much more exciting. Also, the dream eaters gave me the freedom to set up my ideal party instead of restricting me to choose between three party members. If you wanted a party based around strength, then you just picked out some strength based dream eaters. Want a magic based party? Pick some magic based dream eaters. It was awesome! And it brought back the command deck system, which I also loved. Birth by sleep comes in a close second here because it was the first game in the series to introduce the command deck system, and in my opinion it did it the best. Melding the commands was great and connecting it to the abilities was a cool addition as well. This system allowed me to build each character in the most ideal way possible, and that freedom felt great!

Aero Magic
Once I discovered the amazingness that is magnet magic, i started pairing it with thunder. I would use magnet and then once the enemies were gathering I spammed thunder till they were dead. But as fun as the magic in kh3 is, the lack of kh1's aero always left a bad taste in my mouth.

Aero Magic
I used Aero mgic religiously in KH1. It was always mapped to a button shortcut. I miss it sooooo much. Magnet was super useful in Kingdom Hearts II though I never used it until I played the game again as an adult. But now I use it all the time. Reflect was a nice addition to the series, but honestly I prefer KH1's Aero magic. Reflect only protected you for a couple of seconds and you had to time it in order for it to work properly. Having it detonate upon desintegrating was a nice touch, but I would still prefer KH1's version of Aero. Reflect just isn't the same, in my opinion.

Aero Magic
I'd like to see them bring this kind of thing back. It was such a clever use of magic, and there's so much more they could do. Why not have a kind of light magic that repels or decreases the damage from dark attacks? Or maybe have something like Raging Storm in Re:CoM with like flames or blades that revolve around you and damage enemies while simultaneously decreasing the damage you take? They barely scratched the surface and then they just scrapped it.

Aero Magic
Hey guys. So I've been replaying the first Kingdom Hearts game for like the zillionth time to try and sate my desire for Kingdom Hearts III (with little success), and there's something this game had that no other entry in the series ever brought back: defensive aero magic. Aero magic in the first game was awesome! It greatly reduced defense taken and Aeroga was even able to deflect certain attacks. This made frustrating bosses easier and was a unique use of aero magic that I've never seen in any other video game, not just Kingdom Hearts. I was so disappointed when Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories came out and Aero had become an offensive spell, and was further disappointed when Kingdom Hearts II didn't include the spell at all. Then when 358/2 Days (and all the games that followed) had it, it was just another offensive spell. Honestly, it's one of the only legitimate complaints I have about the series' use of magic. Am I the only one who misses the defensive Aero magic from the first Kingdom Hearts? Or do you guys agree with me? Do you think they'll ever bring this back?

A Funny KH Story from my life
Well, I got my first bank card when I was fourteen and my pin has never changed since. But it actually is a great thing to use because no one besides me knows the order or even which members they are (though I imagine some people on here can guess one of the members I used, haha). So my pin is actually super safe, but I'll never forget it. It's perfect!

Axel and Saix
OMG if I could draw I would totally try to draw a series of that! That would be amazing.

Tetsuya Nomura talks about the possibility of free and inclusive DLC for Kingdom Hearts III, prioritizing the next title, and rethinking simultaneous worldwide releases after recent leaks
Yeah, exactly. I don't expect an extra disney world or anything but I do think that they probably could do an extra world if they wanted to. I imagine they'll add a secret boss or two, a couple new keyblades, etc. I probably will hope for a new world, but I won't hold my breath. The fact that he said one DLC with high content is what gives me hope for a new world. High content indicates to me that they'd like to add a hefty amount of bonus material to the game. The price will also be indicative of just how much it will include, I think. If it's like 5 bucks or something then there probably won't be a new world, but 15-20 bucks? That could be a new world.

I'd be down with that, too. Horizon Zero Dawn did that and it was well worth the money! It added a whole extra 20+ hours of gameplay and a ton of extra stuff. So if Square Enix wants to follow in their shoes I will happily shell out some extra $$$ for extra content.

Axel and Saix
She would probably be disgusted by it, lol. I could see Zexion eating ice cream with them, though. And Demyx. Pretty much everyone else would look weird eating ice cream on the clock tower. Even Saix would look weird, although the BH6 trailer showed that scene with him and Lea on the clock tower with the ice cream, so I guess we'll see just how weird that would be. Also, I think Axel bonded so easily with Roxas because he'd previously formed a friendship with Ventus in BBS. I think that connection bonded him to Roxas, and by extension to Sora and Xion due to their connections to Ventus and Roxas.

Axel and Saix
It seemed to me like the Seasalt trio started developing hearts of their own through their relationships with each other. Roxas and Xion didn't have memories of their past lives, so they were able to connect with each other through that similarity and developed their own individual senses of identity. Axel was a bit different, since he had memories of his time as a human. However, I think his time interacting with Sora in Castle Oblivion awakened how it felt to feel those emotions and they awakened when he came back from CO. Furthermore, I think Axel was able to develop his own heart and emotions through Roxas and Xion after this because he was remembering his past friendship with Isa, and he missed that connection terribly. In turn, I think Saix sensed this, which is why he kept trying to convince Axel to keep his distance, constantly warning him that he shouldn't get too attached to them. Saix was frustrated because he felt that Axel was trying to replace their friendship with Roxas and Xion. It seems like the memories of having emotions can actually recover the ability to feel emotions in the first place.

Kingdom Hearts III Secret Ending
The weird thing is, Xigbar has never once backstabbed anyone, and yet the character totally has this distinct air about him. For a while there was a theory that he was going to stab Xehanort in the back in order to obtain a keyblade, but he has yet to do anything of the sort. Now, that being said, he could certainly just be biding his time until the perfect moment. And maybe that side of him will finally show up in the secret ending.

Fingers crossed that they make the DLC free. That would be amazing. Since he mentioned that they're considering it, it's an actual possibility!
