just started watching Naruto and I can honestly say my favorite character is probably Kakashi

Shulk repliedYeah, wait until you finish Part 1 to watch Shippuden. It won't make sense otherwise, and Shippuden spoils a lot of the original series. Also, just to let you know, there's a ton of filler at the end of the original series (80+ episodes in a row of filler, I think). If you want to skip it, I can find a list saying which episodes are filler or not.
Also, if you really want to try that, go for it!

Gamerazor247 repliedThere's a few good filler ones. I also recommend the movies to. Mainly 1 and 3. Watch the OVAs too. My fave one is the Ninja tournament, so many cameos in that one
And Shippuden isn't bad, don't know why people say that, just beware filler pops in here and there in Shippuden. :>

There are a lot of characters. And yeah, the manga's great. To be honest, I haven't even finished the anime. I'm all caught up to the manga, though. If you like watching it animated, I recommend catching up the anime, and then reading the manga from that point so you can know the entire story sooner. Shulk repliedSame here. Naruto's the only really long anime I've been with before it ended, so it's going to be really weird finishing it. There are a few hints that there might be some movies that will explain a few things that happen after the manga ends though, so there's at least that. It won't be the same, though.

Amber Cole repliedone piece is way too long. i was thinking of trying it but i saw how many episodes there were and i was like "hahah nope!" and bleach ended already in japan, but the manga is ongoing for a short time now. i think its on its last arc. The English dub is ending October 10th i think. that's when the last episode airs on adultswim

Shulk replied@Amber Yep. There are three movies for the original series, six for Shippuden, and they're currently making a new one that seems to be an epilogue for Shippuden. A lot of people are thinking that the new movies going to be the first to take place after Shippuden, and that there will be a few more after it. It's basically like the new Dragon Ball Z movies that are being made right now.
@Game Yeah, One Piece is never going to end at this rate.

when i was in Hokkaido it was really popular. they almost always had it on TV at the Onsen. it was crazy lol. my cousin got me a coin purse that's hello kitty mixed with the dog thing with antlers. Shulk repliedOne Piece's pirates are actually more happy and fun-loving than rough. It's really different from the typical pirate story. It's not a bad series by any means, but too long for me to want to continue it. I got to maybe 50 chapters before I stopped reading it.
Also, Naruto's about to hit the 700 chapter mark, too. The only issue is, One Piece will probably go on a lot longer than 700, while Naruto's probably going to end close to 700 chapters.

Shulk replied@Game I'm hoping we won't get a ton of flashbacks right now, that would be really horrible timing. I mean, we've already had enough flashbacks relating to what's about to happen (Won't say what it is so I don't spoil anything), we don't need even more of them. I just want them to get on with the battle. Also, yeah, I didn't realize how long it was at first.

I'd love to get another flashback to a certain character, especially if it was the Fourth. We still don't know that much about his past, even though he's a really popular character. Something leading up to The Last would be cool, too.

@Game I love openings 4 and 5 for Naruto. The arc that used opening 5 is also my favorite in the original series, especially the end of it (Of course, most people think it was the best arc.
