In a recent interview with IGN, Kingdom Hearts composer Yoko Shimomura discusses about her previous work not only in the Kingdom Hearts series, but with many other series including Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam, Live A Live, and more as she is the recipient of this year's Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2024 Game Developers Choice Awards. In addition, Shimomura has begun work on the soundtrack for Kingdom Hearts IV. You can read the entirity of the interview here. UPDATE: IGN's story was updated to say the following: Correction: A previous version of this story said Shimomura was working on several songs for Kingdom Hearts 4. That was a misunderstanding, and this article has been updated to reflect that Shimomura instead meant she's working on various tracks for several different games. -
Square Enix has revealed a brand new trailer for the series' 20th anniversary, highlighting several upcoming titles. Firstly, Kingdom Hearts Dark Road has been delayed again to August 2022. A new mobile game called Kingdom Hearts Missing - Link was announced, with a closed beta test arriving later this year. Lastly, Kingdom Hearts IV was announced. For now, they simply link to their respective trailers and have no new information. It is worth noting that the press release for Kingdom Hearts IV provides the following false statement: Strelitzia's actual debut was in Kingdom Hearts Union χ. After rewatching the cutscene that introduced Yozora to Sora, I kinda got hit with a epiphany, though again, this is just a theory, A GA- (yeah right) So Sora has been messing up Worlds, in his naivety of being a tool for the Organization and his constant failings over the years, done enough to mess up Parallel Universes(Worlds). Yozora is a someone from one of those Parallel Worlds, and his mission is to defeat Sora, although from having gone through the lanes between Worlds himself to find Sora, his one memories and possibly his heart has been effected as well, giving him his uncertainty about who Sora exactly is. Please let me know your thoughts! Again this is just a guess really -
I wanna hear your guy's ideas about possible new worlds: Disney movie, final fantasy property, party members, boss fight, keyblades etc. Some movies that I'd like to see be incorporated are Treasure Planet, Atlantis, Bugs Life, Pocahontas, Great Mouse Detective, Black Cauldron, Kim Possible, a Hawaiian Lilo and Stitch world, and Moana.
