I prefer KH2 Sora because we see that he has matured quite a bit from when he first started his journey and is now at his strongest. When KH2 starts he still has room to develop, since he is sore from sleeping and he still has to find his best friend while King Mickey clearly knows something yet keeps him in the dark. So he still struggles through his journey, trying to figure what happened when he wasn't around and to grasp the whole truth about the Organization and Roxas. By the end of the game in the World That Never Was you see how stronger and smarter he has become, being able to argue with Xemnas and show off his amazing skyscraper slicing powers.  xP

So at the end of KH2 Sora was wrapped up nicely but he could still be offered room for development...Until DDD...We don't talk about that game.  :P

I like KH2 Sora more. KH Sora never knows what's going on.

For me i like the kh 2 more but i like the kh1 outfit way more.

KH1 Sora is cute.

KH2 Sora is badass.

Can't decide.

KH2 Sora is the best imo. He was immature in KH1, naive, kinda dumb and lacked personality.

But in KH2 he is funny, more mature and has learned some badass moves. He knows more about the worlds and that's good.

KH1 Sora, because that's the only time we've seen his personality withotut it beign affected by forces like Namine, Roxas or Ven.

I prefer KH1 Sora,KH2 Sora was a bit too arrogant for me,I prefer the simple kind-hearted Sora from the first game and DDD

Well, that's kind of a hard pick for me, since both sides of Sora are pretty awesome!  His KHI rendition has him coming to terms with being a chosen wielder of the Keyblade, and he's on a journey to find his best friends, and he wants to do all that he can to find them, ya know?  He grows on his first journey alongside Donald and Goofy, and you get to see how he learns more about the struggles of light and darkness, ya know?

In KHII, we have a rendition of Sora who's more experienced, and as he goes along in the game, he becomes stronger, and he becomes wiser in terms of the things he learns throughout his journey!  In the end, he ends up as a person who's mature enough, but at the same time has that happy go lucky side that makes everyone feel in bright spirits whenever he's around, ya know?  So yeah, I think both versions take the cake! :)

I prefer KH2 Sora over KH1 Sora because was a little more mature than the first Kingdom Hearts game. Plus in KH2 Sora pretty much knows what's going on after he started his journey.

Kingdom Hearts 2 Sora definitely. Not only is KH2 Sora more mature and a badass character, KH1 Sora is just kinda... there. Aside from his "My Friends are my Power!" speech KH1 Sora basically doesn't have a personality, he's just a kid who runs around here and there getting jerked around by everybody and stands there just watching most scenes while rarely so much as commenting on what's going on.

I prefer KH1 Sora.

KH1 Sora for me as well. In that game he actually felt "realistic." The way he responded to situations were normal. He showed signs of being caring, sad, brave, and more importantly ACTUALLY GETTING CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT THROUGHOUT THE GAME. And yes he was a bit naive & simple-minded but he NEVER came across as stupid. Plus, his naivety back then made WAY MORE SENSE since this is his first journey and before he set off on this journey he lived his whole life on the islands.

KH2 Sora on the other hand felt "exaggerated." Like in order to give this Sora more personality they had to amp up his naivety & simple-mindedness. I mean he came across as more a kid in this game than he did in the previous games (where in KH1 they built him up to be a hero endgame). He also felt a lot more shounen anime protagonist. This alternative route for Sora's character development eventually led to DDD which is my least favorite version of Sora to date.

In short, Nomura (to me at least) treated Sora's personality the same way he treated Cloud's personality in FF7.

I like them both (I mean they are the same person but...) I think KH2 Sora built on Sora from KH1, so in a way Sora from KH1 was a foundation for what KH2 Sora is, I personally like KH2 Sora more though because he had a lot more depth in my opinion, like all these emotions he never knew because he was gone for 2 years, and filling in a spot made by Roxas who lies in his heart (although he can never be replaced), and his friends are off somewhere too. It's where Ventus kind of shines out of him a little more with new abilities. I don't know what KH3 will bring for him because I feel once Ventus is seperated (and maybe Roxas too) from Sora's heart then he will have to build up a little again, which I feel will add even more depth and originality that we haven't saw in him yet. ...And I like his hair tone more in KH2 (just saying)

Both are cute teen shota

I like both Soras. KH II Sora however feels to me like he's hiding alot inside, almost like the happy act is just a coping mechanism. DDD confirmed that for me, but then that's just how I see it (And maybe I wanna hope that they were trying to do something like that) xD

KH2 Sora also isn't arrogant, it's just that the english voice acting gives off that impression sometimes. Japanese Riku, Sora and Kairi are mostly the same but there are some parts where they actually sound like they have more character than the english ver just by the script. I feel like subtle parts of their characters have been lost in translation. Though that's fairly obvious at times where they've tried to keep the same meaning but it comes of sounding odd in english lol. The arrogance isn't meant to be arrogance, it's hayley trying to emulate the emotions of the japanese lines in english. Knowing this I'm able to see the intention of the words rather than the goofy words themselves, if that makes sense. It makes understanding Sora a lot easier lol
