What is your favorite Sonic game out of all the ones you have played? And are you thinking of getting Sonic Mania or Project 2017?

Featured Replies

Sonic Adventure, it has flaws yes, but it still holds up relatively well (camera aside)

And also, project sonic 2017 for me. Sonic Mania looks great but, I would prefer the epic storyline that PS2017 looks like it's going to have.

In fact, it reminds me of the various cartoons where Sonic was a freedom fighter, except BETTER

Hmm, well that's a hard decision. I love a lot of Sonic games, but I guess my favorite would have to be Sonic Generations. I plan on getting both Sonic Mania and Project 2017! 2017 looks to be the year of Sonic! :D

Hmm... probably sonic generations. Apart from the original, it was the one that really showed me that sonic can still be fun. But I'm probably the most excited for sonic mania since its been waaayyyy to many years since a classic sonic game has come out.

Sonic Heroes or Colors, those two were my favorites as a kid

1.) Sonic Adventure 2

2.) Sonic Adventure

3.) Sonic the Hedgehog 06

Sonic Unleashed, closely followed by Sonic Generations and Sonic CD. People just make way too big a fuss over the Werehog, it's actually a really fun game all around. And yeah, of course I'm getting both Mania and 2017.

A tie between Sonic Adventure 2 and Sonic Generations,Generations could have been my favorite but it didn't reach its full potential with the story and there should have been levels from more Sonic games then just nine. And SA2 could have been my favorite but the mech and treasure hunting stages shouldn't be in a Sonic game.

And of course I'll get Sonic Mania,I've been waiting for this game ever since Mega Man 9 came out,as for Sonic 2017 we don't know much about it but it looks like its gonna be a sequel to Generations so I'll most likely get it

Adventure 2 hands down. Didn't like he mech and treasure stages much (yeah they were a big part but you get used to it), but everything else was perfect. It had secrets, replay value with missions, whole new stages in Hard mode, keeping an eye out for optional power ups, fantastic music (at least for the Sonic/Shadow Stages), and Chao Garden. I admittedly missed it more now than I appreciated it then.

Lots of people say Generations and Colors are the best of the modern. Any game after SA2 I'd say was the greatest was Colors. It had many of the same things, only unless you wanted Super Sonic that bad, which you can only use the last half of the stage anyway, secret rings weren't a very good replay ploy. Otherwise the wisps were an awesome touch to a great Sonic game.

Generations had excellent music, fantastic secret routes, and fun stages. However it's only in number 3 because the game was WAYYYYYYY too damn short and the story was too basic and uninspired. It was unfortunate because the game has an extreme amount of potential, not wasted but underutilized.

It's an unpopular choice, but I really loved Sonic Riders as well. It's a great racing game honestly and it was super unique in what it did.

I went into this long rant because growing up, Sonic became an important part of my life. All my morals and values come from the idolization of my parents and mostly Sonic the Hedgehog, and I really hope people respect him like I did. He seems to be purely comedic or just a flat character nowadays though.

So wait what did you think about the story in Colors then?
