So I am going to make a video on this topic, but I wanted to know after FFXV did separate episodes for their characters' would it work for Kingdom Hearts III?

 

Maybe have an Episode Riku, where we are going to save Aqua. Episode Kairi, where we train as a keyblade wielder.

 

I am not saying to the point of XV(Maybe 2-3 max, and have them as free add-ons instead of a season pass), but that would solve the problem brought up by the rumour today.

 

BTW, that is not true. It sounds like they took the DDD description and pasted it in there with the new stuff.

I'd prefer if those were already in the game In general I don't mind DLC as long as it doesn't add any parts that are mandatory for the story. I want the story to be complete right from the start. So a Kairi Episode where we play through her training would be fine imo, since the main story can live without it, but the part where Riku saves Aqua (if that happens) is rather important and I hope to at least see that in cutscenes. Making a whole DLC out of it would be kinda sad.

 

So yeah, as long as those episodes aren't mandatory for the story I'm okay with it

No, I would rather not to have any DLCs in Kingdom Hearts III, if there were anything to be given of seprate episodes to different characters, it would be better for them to be unlockable within the game, similar to Reverse/ Rebirth in Chain of Memories.

An episode of Kairi's trainings would be interesting to have too 

But I would definitely hope that they are part of the main story, if not, then separate unlockable episodes within certain conditions similar to Secret Episode is the best idea.

NO DLCs please!

I didn't liked FFXV's DLC to some degree. I felt, and I'm sure many others did too, that those segments had to be part of the main game, probably as side quests instead of the repetitive hunts we got.

 

I don't want that type of dlc for KHIII.

No DLC, having DLC for Kingdom Hearts III would ruin it, though the ideas of Riku and Kairi's stories being told would be intriguing.

I say and hope for this since the start, it would be lit if we can play as different characters for the DLCs and that will be a lot better then just adding some no point and optional world for Sora, the only other enjoyable dlc I could appreciate would be the Mirage Arena but it would be annoying if they put it as a DLC (even if I would prefer it instead of don't having it at all) (possibly with character creation like FFXV Comrades)

Yay for character stories, nay for DLC. Playing as different characters would be an excellent way to tie up those loose ends in the series, thanks to some events occurring in DDD and such.

I honestly don't want anything story related being relegated to DLC. I want to have the entirety of the story in my fingertips, so I'd prefer to experience the whole story rather than having some bits left out for DLC just for the heck of it. What I would tolerate for DLC would be additions for the Mirage Arena if it returns, such as returning stages from Birth By Sleep and new, imaginative arenas to battle in, along with Final Fantasy/TWEWY attires to use for the Mirage Arena multiplayer, ya know? Assuming if the Mirage Arena comes to KHIII at all.

I'd totally be up for DLC Episodes with other characters, in fact I think that would be very appropriate. The mainline KH games have many important characters, but the games are ultimately about SORA's STORY, or at least his perspective. The mainline FF, while having a designated "leader" (Lightning, Tidus, etc.), those games have always been about the journey of the groups. That's where the FFXV DLC screwed up. As long as KH3 has a complete Story for SORA, then DLC episodes are fine.

I believe Riku & Mickey are going to save Aqua from the Realm of Darkness, and I assume Sora would not be a part of that trip, otherwise why split up in the first place? As long as Sora sees that Riku & Mickey have saved Aqua, he doesn't need to know about how it was necessarily accomplished.

Basically, I would want DLC episodes that ADD to the story, not take away from it (which is what the FFXV Episode DLC did).

I would love that. As long as the main game doesn't feel like it is lacking and the DLC doesn't feel like it is missing content from the game. Basically, if the DLC adds to the story and feels like some bonus, then I wouldn't mind having that for KHIII.

That what I was thinking. Riku saving I thought would happen off screen(or at least through cutscenes) due to the game focusing on Sora.

 

And as much as I love Kairi, the main story can live without that.

If the character DLC involves things that are essential to the plot, then no. FFXV may have been somewhat decent, but I didn't like having to pay to see the things that happened to Prompto, Ignis, and Gladio off-screen. I want the story to actually be complete. I would be OK with automatically switching to certain characters at certain times throughout to journey, especially so we can see Riku and Mickey rescue Aqua. I wouldn't want to have split stories like BBS or DDD though. Sora, however, should be the main focus, especially since he still needs character development. Other non-essential DLC would be fine with me.
