Combat looks fine to me. I see plenty of hits connecting to enemies.

The combat was pretty bad the first two trailers or so but the latest trailer we have and the orchestra one back when they revealed Maleficent Pete all hit detection looked right and smooth. I love it when Sora transitions into different keyblade transformations and summons and rides ect.

It's so natural and flashy Kingdom Hearts 3 will most definitely have the most varied gameplay out of any Kingdom Hearts there's so many different ways to go about battles we went from a long way from just mashing X in Kingdom Hearts 1.

Hits are connecting just fine. The bigger concern is whether or not they're gonna correctly balance KH3 or if Flashy is all they can do. Osaka is a worrisome team for this reason. They know how to make fun, flashy moves, but they can't properly balance their games. Hell the Spellican fight in DDD is by far their worst offense imo. It's dumb, doesn't really stagger that well at all and just freely does whatever it wants even if you're beating on it. This is something we have to worry about with KH3 because we've only seen flashy combat and no real AI attack pattern. Either way, I'm super excited, but I just need to see an actual segment of gameplay and not flashy snippets here and there.

This. That’s what I was thinking about most likely. It almost looks too flashy

If there’s really evidence of hits not connecting, would you mind showing it to me to prove your point?

The combat looks fine to me, honestly. Osaka has come a long way in making the gameplay for Kingdom Hearts III amazing and fun! I've never really complained about the Osaka team, because they've done a respectable job with the entries they've developed for the series, ya know? Yes, there are some minor issues that, when compared to the numbered entries in the KH series, mark notable differences in the combat. But, with development for Kingdom Hearts III, I'm sure they've applied everything they've learned into making Kingdom Hearts III's combat the best in the series!

And let's not forget that in the latest KHIII news update we got, Nomura stated that there were 100 people from the Tokyo team working on the game as well, so hey, no need to worry, ya know? :)

Combat in this game is gonna rock our socks off!

Still in development friend still in development!

My concern is that the combat is gonna be so awesome and flashy that I can barely tell what's happening.

Hope I wont get  a seizure after 12 Hours game time

I think it was more flashy in the previous trailers like the one from 2015.

I love all the flashy lights! :)
