Hey, everyone. Just wondering what everone thinks about being able to level up the keyblades in Kingdom Hearts III since this mechanic was just announced. Personally, I am super pumped. There've been so many times where I loved a certain keyblade but because it was from an early world it wasn't worth using it later in the game. Seems like this time around they've decided to remedy this issue.

Am I the only one who's super excited about being able to power up keyblades as you progress through the game?

I'm with you. I am utterly curious on how the Ultima Weapon will be as it levels up (I expect it to be in the game and to be ""levelable"").

I believe that further upgrades may give access to other Keyblade Transformations and Special Attacks (As I remember they say that the transformable Keyblades would have two transformations). Another changes, of course, may be the keyblade shape and its resistance to elements and such.

But I hope there's way more than that xD

You're right about that regarding the Keyblades becoming quite useless on previous games. I hope there's an equal balance now between all of them. Since they're gonna have upgrades, I believe that is possible.

Aside from that, the mere scenary effects that each Keyblade gives is another reason to increase our desire to use them.

So I really expect a lot from that gameplay mechanic. I'm a lot excited  :D

It would be interesting to know how the leveling system will be like. For example if you have to fight certain enemies or if you have to level it up with Mogly using items..

Oh, that might be interesting, having to level up with items through the moogle shop.

Oh I confounded the German name with the English name of the Moogles. :D

Yeah I thought that they could use a similar system to X and Unchained X but a little bit easier. For example with items the enemies tend to drop after defeating them..

I love this idea!

I find that this is quite an intriguing idea to implement into Kingdom Hearts III! I'm pretty sure that Nomura got this idea from the Keyblade level up system from the X games! It makes sense! I wonder if the Keyblades will change in appearance as the levels for them go higher, such as the Keyblades from the X games do!

I imagine a similar system as the one in World of warcraft Legion maybe every keyblade has its own skilltree to

I feel like I missed something since I don't know where you got this info.

I don't really have any strong opinions at the moment since we don't know the specifics of the system.

It was in one of the articles on this site a few days ago, the same article that said KH3 will have 40-50 hours of story and 80+ hours of overall content. If you scroll down on the main page you'll come across it.

Time to bring a maxed leveled Kingdom Key to the final boss.

I wonder how strong we'll be able to make the Kingdom Key. Maybe it actually will be a viable choice for the the final boss.

I hope we have to unlock keyblade transformations via leveling up the keyblades. I also really like the idea of all keyblades being balanced with each other.

Hey everyone,

I made a really cool video discussing this topic before it was announced. Maybe you'll find some enjoyment in watching it!

Thanks so much :)

I've watched your videos before and tbh you're one of the 3 KH Youtubes that made me start my new channel so thanks for your hard work.

With that being said..i can't be bothered(For lack of a better word) to watch it again to see if my current dreams were already stated in your video. I feel like they were but  im rushing atm lol.

I'm hoping it isnt just a "Kingdom Key +1" kind of deal. Like i hope you get experience and once it gets to lets say "Kingdom Key+5" we get Defense+5 and then at "Kingdom Key Max" (Or 10) we get something like Defense+10 or something of that line. I just really hope stat bonuses come with leveling up. They really need to work on making keyblades viable again.
