Also so far I've died to Darkside twice and while Donald and the world party are level 2, I'm still level 1 and wondering if I should zero exp this shit.

Also the Darkside deaths were to the splash wave while I was at the peak of my jump. It's kind of ridiculous

Well. I've never tried dodging the shockwave, I always block it

But I feel like jumping should work

That hurt me on proud, which is why on crit I just ran off instead

Tbh jumping over things seems less viable in KH3

Weird since

Kh3 seems to favor you being in the air more

until you can air glide and then no attack can even reach you

It works

But the hitbox is wild

So it's like 50/50

I don't find skoll bad design but he still takes an age to bring down....unless you use links. As much as I didn't want to I had to use Silva to make the fight not unbearable and it's more Simba then using fire because your magic takes forever to recharge and you don't have enough of it.

So it was a horrible idea that I went the mage route

Because withstand combo would be so much better

In fact I completely regret not getting withstand combo.

I don't understand the complaint on lvl1 doing chip damage

it's an rpg

if lvl1 does good damage what's the point

Well it's more that KH has a challenge mode called crit LVL 1 where the game usually gives you benefits for choosing to not gain any exp

Yeah I'm glad I went guardian for once more early. And also I used Simba on Skoll too

So that while the game is harder it is balanced in a way that it doesn't take forever to kill anything because you aren't gaining lvls
