Well the goals were "look for Riku and the King, Stop Maleficent and Pete, Stop, Find out what the Organization is doing." The goals in the second half are: "Find the location of a gateway to the nobody stronghold, save Kairi"

I could also summarize KH1 as "Sora goes after his friends and doesn't find them, therefore the Disney worlds aren't important", but that's far from the truth.

We could btw argue that Sora still has the same goals as in KH2 bc it's his duty as a keyblade wielder

Yeah but we arent even given a reason Heartless are running around in KH3

like we just get "They aint Maleficents"

I would have liked it btw if Sora unlocks parts of his lost power after each world. Like going to his station of awakening and unlocking a keyhole there after each world

Slowly unlocking powers over the game instead of getting so much by Olympus, that's nice.

It's actually fitting for Vanitas's theme of emotions that he'd be fearful and the fear would beget darkness.
