You can tell they were playing it safe with the story, but I wish they would have explained things better there’s always next movie tho!

short xenoblade 2 review:

After 150 hours I finally finished Xenoblade 2 and the Torna DLC. The DLC was a better experience than the base game and looked like a respond to fan criticism. The combat of the DLC is not as broken and busted as the base game, which is good and the menuing is better. Some mechanics like chain attacks are still broken, overpowered and they need hard nerfs, also a large part of the equipment is useless, even on higher difficulties. The team of Xenoblade isn't really good at balancing and combat design and I hope they work on this in future titles.

Unfortunately, the DLC couldn't fix the writing of the base game story which is sad because Xenoblade 1 had overall good writing and it feels like a downgrade compared to the first game.

Overall I like Xenoblade 1 still more, but the 2nd game is still an ok/good game
