You must have the patience of a saint. Pokemon's combat is glacially slow.

they improved with time

hell pokemon sword/shield is very fast paced compared to sun and moon and the other pokemon games

Kinda disappointed if it is purely ARPG going forward, I wouldn't mind another ATB turn based game or even something in the same vein of Lightning Returns.
