I, personally, adored it.

Was it scary? firetruck nah dawg. But FNaF’s audience aren’t scared by the games anymore, so this was mostly a movie about lore and the overall world building of FNaF. There’s spooky shit that made me feel on edge, but it wasn’t scary.

There’s little bits and pieces pulled from the different games to fit into one story. There’s Easter eggs thrown throughout the movie that different people will pick up and talk about. Of course, there’s the theories, but that leads into spoilers.

Overall, a damn good movie. I don’t do that number rating shit.

I either like things or I don’t. Number ratings are overrated imo.

I honestly don't think it's just the FNaF audience that is no longer scared of horror games. After the big horror game hype people completely burned out with horror games. People constantly say how scary a certain part in RE8 is but I just didn't feel anything due to horror game burnout

Also the animatronics aren’t supposed to be scary because, yah know, they’re aimed to bring children fun and enjoyment and looking like goddamn stuffed animals.

That’s the appeal of FNaF.

Minor FNaF series spoilers (?):

They’re these cute and unassuming robots that have springlock, death contraptions

with children corpses stuffed inside.
