Why do I get the sense from this conversation that the Discord server is some kind of evil entity intent on stopping forum art from being seen?

It's just difficult to embed, even for a preview.

I would imagine that it's probably easier to transfer from discord onto a forum than vice versa. For all the reasons Incendere said

The only way I could think it would work is overly complicated

On our end, we see the post under a preview and embed box where as posts from Discord are pulled and counted as actual forum posts.

Whereas twitter has its own image embedding while RSS feeds have issues generating preview images for some reason.

Sounds aggravating, to be honestly.
