As much as I hate Xemnas, I regret to say I can’t disagree

As a person, yea

That’s why he’s the best. Bc I hate him so much.

Say what you will about vanilla Xehanort and Ansem SOD; at least they were honest in their intentions. Xemnas was misleading, manipulative, and just generally untrustworthy.

The only thing worse than a bad guy, in my book, is a bad guy who denies that he is one.

Idk about that. Ansem manipulated Maleficent to his own ends and Xehanort manipulated everyone he came across until there was no point to it.

The latter also claimed it to be for the greater good.

But he actually believed he was doing the right thing so…

But he still misled, manipulated, and lied to attempt to achieve that.

And Xemnas was literally trying to set things up for Xehanort to return and have vessels.

Because he is Xehanort.

The thing about Xemnas is he gave O13 false hope. He made them think they had a chance at being whole when they really didn’t. That’s vile.

He also told them they had no hearts up until they were all “dead”

Which might’ve been true for some of them, but others were clearly developing hearts of their own

Which is why I don’t quite understand his last minute redemption in 3.

I don’t see it as redemption as much as being given a second chance

He had a heart the whole time. He just refused to acknowledge it.
