Yes actually. Excess weight is almost universally detrimental to the body as it forces your organs to work harder than necessary.

In addition, studies have shown that obesity directly correlated to diabetes, heart conditions, and some forms of cancer.

I think the point is that the other person was one to speak b/c of the way she herself was.
