its been a thing since bbs that he was from destiny islands. they've been slowly changing it to where he wasn't born there but still raised there though

but that was his entire shtick. a parallel to our cast wanting to leave the islands but going in a different direction. and also in ddd they made it to where the time travel is the reason it was etched into his heart that he wanted to get off so badly or something lol

But doesn't when the time traveler return to their original timeline, they forget about what happened in the times they've traveled to? I thought that was mentioned somewhere. But alas, Nomura can easily retcon certain things to fit his narrative, I suppose.
