They have done a great job with Barret so far, so I am not that worried about Cid and what they will do with him

It often feels and they said themselves that they feel restricted by ff7

understandable when the only bad things you hear are related to things that weren't in og, when they just want to make something a bit different and more fleshed out

The feeling or whatever

Even if the FF series has time travel - FF7 does not. Time travel being added into franchises/stories where it was not originally conceived of is probably one of the most hated story-telling devices at this point. I'm not sure why people reacting negatively is a surprise.

It feels at this point they want to make a different game but they're restricted by 7 so they're making it something entirely different from 7 using 7 characters and world

thing is there is no confirmed time travel anywhere

so it makes no sense to be mad at it

Okay well regardless if no time travel it still think about faith in Destiny and whatever that had no part in 7

And that's kind of how I'm treating the game I'm not treating it as a remake but rather as if pretending this is the first time ff7 came out if that makes any sense

Looking at it that way I love the game looking at as a remake ehh

to me, the story is almost identical to OG so I don't have any problem, need to see what they do next

It was up until like the last bit when it completely turns everything I think they still could have made changes into the story they didn't mean to put plot ghost in there like Jesse could have injured her ankle in a way other than ghosts which forces her to sit out of the mission that probably would have ended up a lot better but I guess we'll see the next game and how it turns out if they're actually making 7 or if it's a different game wearing ff7 skin

considering the interviews I think now that the ghosts are dead they will continue the og story but with small changes and 1 big change at the end and beginning of each part

yeah the ghost may have just been there to have a final FF boss isntead of jsut ending with MOTOR

I really hope they alter the parts I didn't like in the og
