Currently doing the Octopath Traveler 2 thief quest and this shit genuinely killed me. My character has to disguise herself as a nun to infiltrate an orphanage and the cleric in my party wants to practice with her how to be a nun. They practice a few times and he's never happy with her until she breaks and tells him "May the sacred flame burn you, bastard"

i havent gotten far in OT2 yet but from my 3 hours i started last night, i just found it hilarious the huge tonal whiplash i got from the two characters driving forces

I only played as the theif and soldier thus far

and only the first level

I like how the thief profits from low dice rolls though

especially with the poison

1s and 2s just translate into poison damage which was amazing

and you could do it 5 times if you upgraded it

Soldier felt basic. But it’s also the first character

I can’t knock a first character for being basic

And, although being basic, he still played in a fun way

I liked his limit paired with the battle axe
