It'd have to be very limited or solely in battles imo. Like, if I'm out exploring the world, I'll sometimes put on a video essay in the background and I can't do that if I'm listening for klee to tell albedo that she blew up some fish
There's also an issue if it's limited to battle since people have already become accustomed to battle quotes helping with attack timing

I could understand if you wanted to replay the dialogue, but hearing it for the first time?

Not party dialogue, just character voice lines. It's in the same place as their background and stuff. With the exception of the main character, all dialogue is just the character talking (what they like to eat, wishing you a happy birthday, saying how strong they got upon a level up, etc.)
