Someone had asked why people don't like this new f-zero 99 game, and how it should be good that the series is getting some love. Anyone here have an answer?

From what I am seeing, people are afraid that this is a "testing the waters" situation. So releasing a battle royale port of an old game like this instead of a brand new game might not be the best idea to get people interested.

If this doesn't do well then chances are very high Nintendo will look at this and think "well, no one is interested so no need to continue"

I noticed in that part her square attack name changed to this

So it looks like they are giving more options to the base combat

That could be the symbol they use to indicate synergy.

It comes up after they do the attack. Would be weird to show it then.

for tifa? yeah it pops up with the visual indicator for the timing

the first one they press immediately, but the second one they delay a little bit and you can tell there's oen visual indicator that pops up with the square attack, and another one indicating they timed it right

Trinity Strike

Yeah so it makes me think it's not an ability

Maybe a new triangle move for tifa

i dont think it's a new triangle move either, it's literally just something she'll unlock that allows her to "use Trinity Strike when timed correctly" or something in that nature

like if you mash you'll just get the regular square combo that they have for her, but time it and you get a longer more powerful combo

it's just like Jecht in Dissidia

they probably just give it a name to make it easier to see visually

That could be neat

Either way, more options in the base combo would be nice

Now I am curious the slash attack Cloud does in the previous trailer might also be a new base combo similar to that

in Dissidia, you had slots for your Brave and HP moves, but you also have your default combo which never changes. but with jecht, as long as you time it then you get a longer combo but you dont have to change or unequip other moves to make room for it

there was no visual cue in Dissidia's version to tell you WHEN to hit it but it gave you the cue to tell you that you DID

this makes me wonder if she'll be able to combo the trinity strike into her triangle moves and/or her other abilities like jecht does too lol
