It's one reason to hate content only viewable online.

maybe with consoles' rest mode a P2P solution could exist

At least w/ some mobile games, some users can backup profile data like trophies or Avatars for offline viewing as well as get some screenshots in before the services become unavailable.

Blame the hackers, if that didn't happen the servers would still be up

I don't blame the devs for not spending more money on bringing the servers back up as that would cost a pretty penny, and that's not worth it without there being enough people who actually plays it
