Are you guys talking about the disney animal crossing game?

Haven't hear much on it, is it good?

Controls are fine. Only problem I’ve had is it randomly crashes sometimes.

good to know

Must download when I'm back from this con

Is there a co-op feature?

i think the reason these mobile games try for such high-quality models is to get people to take them seriously. it's like, tell me i'm wrong: whenever you hear that something you like is gonna be a mobile game, you audibly groan and ask why it couldn't be on consoles instead. they seem to be trying to break that stigma, regardless of how well or poorly they end up doing it. they think this sort of thing will draw more people to the game and encourage them to spend money (which is the real goal in all of this, let's be real)

the money thing yes, easiIy the goaI
as for taking it seriousIy, that is such a dumb motivation

no one takes mobiIe games seriousIy because most are designed Iike shit

they're primariIy for you to spend money, hence every action in the game wiII want to enforce that

and it's that right there that makes them try the way they do. i'm not saying you're enabling it: rather, i'm saying they're foolish for seeing your reaction as "how can we win him over?"

pain and misery

you can win me over when you make a game that isn't designed for me to just spend money

there's a reason no one's pIaying Avengers guys

I remember being shocked at just how much Angry Birds had changed after downloading it again.

It'd been a couple years since I'd played it, so I decided to give it a shot again.

wh-

what'd they do

Oh, this was a long while back, so it's likely changed again, but...

Before, I was able to restart levels as often as I wanted. Microtransactions were there, yeah, but you weren't obligated or forced to get them. However, when I redownloaded it a couple years later, I found that you could no longer infinitely restart levels. Instead, you were given, like, three restarts before a big ol' microtransaction ad for something to help you beat the level would pop up and you couldn't close it out at all. You would have to restart the game entirely to try again.
