I mean if ps4 wasnt backwards compatible with 1-3 in didn't think 5 would be either.

I mean, if you have physical ps4 games then you can't play it on the Digital one only

The PS4 at least mine still has a lot of life in it before the PS5

I don't own a ps4 myself, I share one with the fam. So I'm probably just gonna get ps5 whenever I move out

we don't know how the backward compatibility works yet, maybe if you own a game in your library, you can get it digitally on ps5

I doubt they would do that but who knows

Hopefully when the release date is announced officially they say all the functions on backwards compatibility then

That would be awesome Noleen but I really don't see them doing that.

But I think Retro compatibility for PS4 games was a great business move, as it means it'll be more worth it to get a PS5 than getting a PS4, since you're basically getting two consoles in one.

It's fine if it plays PS4 games as the only BC it's just let's be real as a Majority how many still have ps3, 2, or 1

Ms did a great job but it was a pain on them

They admit it themselves that optimization was a nightmare

i'm honestly okay with it for the most part. i can just emulate ps1 and 2. A few ps3 games i'd like to play but not a huge deal
