Data of accounts is apparently compromised/found and the hackers want something in return to not leak them.

According to Cyber Security Connect, the group has posted some proof-of-hack data, although it says this is “not particularly compelling information on the face of things”.

Do we need to change all our data ?

Like password and stuff ?

Like mentioned in the report, there was a similar issue before were customers' info like saved credit cards and passwords were retrieved.

Like why do people do stuff like this.

It includes what appear to be screenshots of an internal log-in page, an internal PowerPoint presentation, several Java files, and a file tree of the leak which seemingly includes fewer than 6,000 files.

No mention of login credentials like prior attacks

Probably should to be on the safe side. Fortunately, I only use PayPal as my payment method.

I just keep a safe measure not to save credit card info.

Some people are bored and want to expose vulnerabilities while getting the thrill of breaking in as well as making profit from something stolen.

Do they know that things like that are literal crimes ?

They probably don't care as much as they care about sending a message and probably think they can get away w/ it w/ stuff like VPNs making them hard to trace.

These people should instead try to use that time and money to make this world a little bit better.
