@-Kye- @ElectriCole Been experimenting with chests using the lvl 10 freelancer skill, here's my findings so far:

Your total chests on the map is saved locally, doesn't change when changing instances.,
The cap on the amount of chests you can have in the world is 6 silvers and 30 bronze.,
Re-instancing into other instances with only 1 silver chest left kept it at the same spot for 5 tries in a row,
Leaving phantom village, logging off and back on didn't change its location either (haven't tested time or daily reset yet, could also have been rng as I only tested it once),
Doing nothing but wait does not spawn more chests (waited ~30mins),
Trying to get all chests using the most recent map in resources left me with 7 unfound bronze, I probably missed some cause scanning the map is mega tedious but also a chance some bronze spawns still missing,
Limited sample size so far but CEs have given +1 bronze 100% of the time, 2/18 silver. Fates 2/20 silver and 18/20 bronze (not getting bronze did NOT mean getting a silver instead),
Haven't experimented with chains yet so no info there
Chests spawn when doing stuff in occult
and reinstancing doesn't reset
Its basically the same thing as bozja and eureka lockboxes but instead of flat out giving you the chest it asks you to go find it
Unfortunately
that also means there might be a chest finder plugin
