I don't know, Marvel hasn't given me a brutal movie as The Suicide Squad or a detective style movie like with The Batman or even a heavily character driven show like Doom Patrol

I should specify MCU and not Marvel, some of the Fox stuff at least gave me some of that

That's not to say DC movies haven't had duds, plenty of them

But I feel like they are more open to try different stuff than MCU

And I think you mean the animated series that's a spin off from the Harley one

The closest we've gotten to that would be loki

wandavision was most definitely a more debatable situation. the narrative didnt go as far as to outright put her in the crosshairs but there was a lot of moral ambiguity and they definitely continued that line of thought with MoM

it was just presented in such a fun way that no one really thinks of it as a bad thing she did

but yeah loki would be the closest in terms of MCU probably

punisher? i never watched it and only saw his appearances in the other shows(think it was DD?)

but i guess we don't know for sure yet if that netflix-verse is MCU canon or if we're getting a soft-reboot

Punisher is one and so are the other Netflix shows but the reason i am not counting them is Disney didn't have their hand on developing them

And Wandavision gets really close to doing something new but then the finale comes and butchers it all completely

Instead of portraying Wanda as someone who did something majorly wrong, they instead downplay it horrendously and makes it sound like she's a hero for sacrificing her imaginariy kids for the whole town she was keeping hostage

I haven't seen MoM so i can't comment on anything in regards to Wanda there

yeah thats what i was getting at with WV. Their presentation of it all and especially the ending just make it ambiguous and like nothing was ever wrong when it was obviously a terrible thing to do

MoM just touches a bit on the actual heaviness of westview is mainly what i meant when I brought it up
