I got so done with AC when I heard that they killed off the main antagonist that transcends the entire timeline in a comic

new sony patent

“large number of game titles across PS1/PS2/PS3 & generations of game consoles can be stored and used via the cloud gaming library.”

“games can be run on a virtual machine that mimics the operating system associated w/ each console”

? idk how I feel about this

I wonder if it’s gonna be applied in a similar way Xbox does their back catalogue

Soooo that’s for the ps5... right?

That’s what people are saying yeah ?

Icel pls ?

I mean I just have to ask because then my first question is why tf haven’t they talked more about the prospect of having more backwards compatibility if the shit is coming out this year like that doesn’t make any sense to me

You would think that's a big selling point

Like how do we go from “yeah a handful of ps4 games will be coming” to “yeah we looking into having it for all previous PlayStation family systems” ???

It is pretty weird cuz like. Backwards capability was on the site and they took it off before the reveal

but then again. Patents don’t mean they’re actually gonna use it.

If anything at this point it sounds to me like they’re gonna look more into backwards compatibility for a ps5 pro or something... so stupid

wouldn’t surprise me. I guess just ... hold off on getting the PS5 for a while till they announce an upgraded version? ? ?

I mean buying a year One console isn't really that great anyway

It’s still a fat upgrade to any of the games that are getting the enhancements for the next gen to me so honestly I think its worth it between these 2 generations than it was previously because 90% of games should just naturally load faster

Depends if I can't play Final Fantasy or Kingdom Hearts until that I don't really have a reason to get one other games are definitely cool and I want to get them but not a system seller

They’d be pretty damn stupid to not have ff14 and kh3 prioritized tbh

That’s kinda SE’s golden gooses as far as console goes as far as I can tell

I would 100% do it but imagine buying the entire KH collection for the 5th time. quack

just to play it on PS5

Im still excited to see the netflix ff14 show

I wonder what cid will look like

Bro Persona 5 Scramble better be coming to ps5 along side being translated and dubbed into English my dude

If they are going to make us buy the collections again they need to add something this time dude it can’t just be a port anymore

Like add a original music options, add the og heartless color swap, add the capes to bbs, stuff like that

FF14 will have a ps5 version

Just not for a bit

Then they can finally drop PS4

But thats like a next expansion announcement

Where tf was I talking about atlus lol

Xemnas said it, Fire Emblem is trash
