I can't stand whenever I go to a Naruto or Final Fantasy forum and I hear them say; "Fianl Fantasy can own DragonBall Z" or "Naruto can kick Goku's ass". Really when I hear people say this I wonder if their awesome (not talking bout you guys). OK first of all people need to get their facts right. A lot of the people that start Fan Fueds don't know anything about the other Anime or Videogame their dissing. The most idiotic comment I've heard so far is Gilgamesh can beat Frieza or something. I mean seriously what the hell does that person even know about Frieza. All right we all know Gilgamesh is one of the most popular and well respected Fianl Fantasy characters to date but that dosen't mean he can beat Frieza. Honestly, Frieza's power is godly. So is Gilgamesh but if you were to say that you would be exaggerating. If you're not a fan of Fianl Fantasy, Naruto or any other Anime then you don't have to but in.

 

This might be unnessacary but lets compare two characters from both the Dragon Ball Z and Final Fantasy series:

Cell:

Abilities: Solar Kamehameha: allows you to blow up a Solar System

Defensive Moves: Well, this could just be becasue Krillin's weak but it's impossible to touch Cell. Meaning if you throw a punch at him well, it just won't do anything. Kind of like how Pence tried to punch Axel and ran right through him.

 

Sephiroth:

Abilites: Super Nova (any many more): allows you to blow up a single planet

Defensive moves: It's really impossible to touch, hit, or cause pain to Sephiroth. The most you can do is put some dust on his clothes.

What MasterXemnas said. Also, why is there even a discussion comparing DBZ and Naruto? Do Naruto fans not know that DBZ characters can blow up planets? Naruto's bootleg spirit bomb cannot defeat Goku's spirit bomb(some stuff from Naruto comes from DBZ, it's true).

It's stupid to compare two different franchises. Dragon Ball as a series is basically a big arms race, but all their power means nothing in FF where battles are turn-based, and world destroying effects are considered pretty animations.

People don't tend to consider the characters behind their match ups either. Suppose Gilgamesh was powerful enough to beat Frieza, or whatever. He probably still wouldn't be able to because his characters is essentially 'that guy who can never win'

 

Oh, and Supernova doesn't destroy a single planet, unless you don't count all the planets Supernova engulfs during the animation as planets...

And for that matter, couldn't Sephirtoh use Heartless Angel, teleport behind someone, and beat them instantly?

That's ^ exactly what I was thinking. Supernova took everything with it.

 

But it's like hatok said. You can't really compare two series unless they're pretty closely related. Like maybe Evangelion and Gundam, but you can't compare FF and DBZ. They're two completely different worlds... then again, so are Evangelion and Gundam...

 

Just screw the whole thing.

FF VS DBZ is a pretty strange comparison in any circumstance anyway, one is primarily a Game, the other is primarily a anime.
