In this thread we will talk about and discuss the upcoming new Smash Bros that was recently announced at E3 2011. So, what characters do you want to see, what stages do you think they should make, are you going to get the Wii U version, 3DS version or both? And do you think they should keep final Smash moves and Assist Trophies in the new game? Here are characters I would like to see and make appearences in the game and become playable: Shadow (Sonic the Hedgehog), Mewtwo (Pokemon), Roy (Fire Emblem), Krystal (Starfox Assault and Command), Mii character (from Mii Plaza), Fawful (Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story), Grey Fox (MGS1). Stages I would like to see: A Kid Icarus: Uprising based stage, Super Mario Galaxy type stage, another Wario stage, Hyrule Field stage, A new Animal Crossing Stage, Dinosaur Planet stage (from Starfox adventures). Assist Trophie characters I want to appear: Darkrai (Pokemon), Silver or Blaze (Sonic 06), Ashley (WarioWare), Tetra (LoZ: Wind Waker), Midna( LoZ: Twilight Princess)

i think they should get the paper mario characters and we should definetely get knuckles in there plus bomberman and banjo and kazooie

Assist Trophies and Final Smashes were great ways of adding characters and abilities they couldn't squeeze in.

 

Do you think it'd be two different games (e.g. Smash Bros Battle for 3DS and Smash Bros Revolution for WiiU) or the same game for multiple system (like FFXIII on Xbox and PS3)?

 

I'm really interested to see how they fit Smash Bros on the 3DS. It seems too big to be the typical camera settings of Smash Bros. Maybe they'll make it 3rd person (like BBS) on the 3DS and have the whole field on the WiiU.

 

Too many potential characters to list right now, but I will say that there needs to be a Pokemon Trainer. It doesn't need to be the same one (I wish it was), but I'll settle for anyone.

 

Anyone think KH has a chance of being in it? There are 4 KH games on Nintendo Systems, so it could be a third party character (like Sora or Riku). Any chance of Mickey would be out of the question though.

I would love more Sonic characters and I really hope Final Smash, pokeballs and assist trophies continue to carry on in the game. Honestly, I can't wait. There isn't a release date at the moment is there?

I think they NEED a one on one mode for wi-fi. Stock to be exact.

I would hope that they keep every character already in brawl. I would like Shadow, Sora, Pokemon trainers for every region, Wolf Link, Geno(from Mario RPG), Skull Kid, and Mii.

Instead of playing as red, I want to play as Ethan. And I think they should add at least two characters from each series represented. For example, if Snake comes back in SSB4, I think they should add Raiden too. They should bring back all of the previous characters as well, they'll have enough disk space for it.

 

My list of new characters that I want are:

- Ethan (Pokemon Gold, Silver, HeartGold SoulSilver)

- Bowser Jr.

- Waluigi

- Shadow (Sonic the Hedgehog)

- Victini (Playable Pokemon)

- Vaati (Legend of Zelda)

- Zant (Zelda Twilight Princess)

Ethan would be great, especially with Quilava. He's my 3rd favorite Pokemon, right behind Bulbasaur and Pachirisu.

 

I think Hilbert or Hilda (ugh!) would be more likely. They're the most recent ones. Same as Lucario vs Mewtwo. Who knows, they could be replaced by Zoroark!

You could have every region's trainer, just set them as different costumes instead of colors.

Hmm, different colors. That'd be a graphic overhaul and movesets would need to match all 5 different ones, but it'd be worth it!

I bought my Wii for Brawl, and I might have to get both the Wii-U and 3DS now. Great...

I just play Brawl on my cousin's Wii. I haven't owned a home Nintendo console since... the Super Nintendo...

For people who don't know, Smash Bros 3DS and Smash Bros Wii U are two halves of the same game. Obviously it's ambiguous at this point, since the game is barely even in the planning stage, but Sakurai seems to imply that the 3DS version will focus more on single player and character development, while the Wii U version will be more about multiplayer and online.

No they are going to be the same game, just some minor and major differences, but over all same characters and for the most part modes. No you cant just change the skin. You need different pokemon and trainers. I said all trainers just because that would be cool, but they obviously wont do it.

I'm not much of a Nintendo fanboy but I'm interested in any Mario, Sonic, and Pokemon related stuff (don't even bother saying Sonic isn't Nintendo I already know that).

Keep in mind 'multiplayer' is the mode where you choose up to four characters and battle with various settings on the stage of your choice. You can still do that on your own with CPUs.

it would be nice to see the 4 of them all together. They would all reach the summit for removing the 7th golden needle, and they would all fight the enemies, not sure if they would include the subspace emissary, and at least 1 or 2 of them get trophinized. the other 2 team up, retreat, and save them with their new allies

Darkrai will have dark void.

He will throw a black orb at the opponent. put them to sleep and it gradually damages them

If we're saying what can and can't happen, Silver wouldn't have that Final Smash either, because tat'd be overpowered. It's not like he has any particular control over time anyways, he just travels back in time on occasion.
