Was Kingdom Hearts II exactly what you were hoping for?

Posted
Kingdom Hearts II, arguably one of the best titles on the Playstation 2 came out 6 years ago. There was a lot of excitement for this game, all the way through the end. But, was this game really all that great? Was it everything you were looking foward too? For me it wasn't. I can't exactly remeber what else I thought the game would have but apparently, it could've been better. So what's you're opinion about Kingdom Hearts II? Was it everything you were hoping for, or it was missing some of the stuff you think it should've had?

It was a superb game. Despite a few gameplay flaws. The experience you have the first time you play it provided you have not read or seen any spoilers and have played KH and perhaps Com is fantastic.

The game was great, but.........it was too easy.

I loved it with the plot and everything and remember KH1 controls this beat it by far xD

I thought it was great!! I have to admit, most of it was pretty easy and could be done with your eyes closed while button mashing, but the story itself was fantastic!!

But every good game could be improved in little ways, I guess.

Ya I would agree. I loved the story and the music, and even the gameplay. Ha, I got this game before I got the first one, so kh was like a prequel for me which is funny. But because they upgraded the gameplay mechanics so much, it went to a point where everything was basically automatic. All I had to do for the first half of the game was press x and triangle. And the second half of the game all I had to do was move and press x and triangle. So I see where ur comin from

It was even more than I expected,Kingdom Hearts II was really awesome and I dont think the perfect game will ever exist so of course it could have been better,if we could refight all the bosses in a boss rush mode,if Roxas was playable trough the whole game in a mode like the mission mode of 358 2 Days etc.

Did anyone played this game on proud mode without lvl grinding? If you do that the first worlds aren't even that easy.

Ironically I saw many people who complain that is too easy and 1. played it on easy 2. couldn't even beat Sephiroth.

Button mashing? I dare you to button mash against Assault Riders or Dancers or Beserkers or Fat Bandits

or Sorcerers ect. without an overlvled Sora on proud mode. Espacially when they are surrounded by smaller but annoying enemies.

However I admit the fights were less tactical than in KH I which I missed.

@topic: It was the Kingdom Hearts game I was looking for. Could it have been better? Of course. Every game has enough ways for improvement, even excellent ones. It was still an amazing game and an excellent gaming experience.

I was 7 when I got this game so I really only wanted it because there were Disney characters in it then I beat the first boss and didn't play it until 2009 then I fell in love with it!

It was awesome but then I heard about the final plus and then I was sad because it had even more of a challenge and better stuff, but I still love the game.

I was pretty impressed with II, but it was too easy.

Then I got the Final Mix and accepted Kingdom Hearts II as my master. I still believe that KH2FM's in the top three best PS2 games ever.

The game was great. The only world flaw was Antlantica. I thought that world was an embarrassment to the entire kh seris

amazing game. easily my second favorite PS2 game (right behind KH1 of course) KH2 was the first game in my life that i went fan boy mode over. seriously i was on the computer at every opportunity so i could look up videos of early gameplay. it was actually the first game i got for the ps2. i had played kh1 before so it made it even better!! was rather easy tho. proud mode seemed easier than standard IMO.

this game was awesome and it was all i was looking for and all those things, that could have made it better were in its Final Mix.

I loved it, but I was not expecting for anything, since it was the first KH game I played.

But I think it could've been better, but then KHIIFM comes to make it perfect xD

Yes Nomura should be ashamed of himself for that.

i bought it the same time as i bought kh so i wasnt expecting anything lol, but once i finished both kh1 and 2 i think it could've had more strategic elements to the enemies

I loved KH2. I'm not great at video games, so it was challenging enough. I do hate the lack of platforming compared to KH1, probably because of so many people complaining about Atlantica, Monstro, and HB. I didn't mind the fact that Atlantica was a musical world, but I wish you could explore it like in KH1. Despite this, it is a great game.

I liked kh2 but was shocked about Atlantica and also shocked about not having kind of puzzles like kh1

I liked Atlantica screw you guys xD
