Talent Contest

 

Welcome to the KH13 Talent Contest. Here you will have the chance to show your talents. There are three talent categories. The Drawing Category, The Video Category ,The Writing Category and The Music category.

 

 

Drawing Category- Image editing: At the drawing category you can make a fan made drawing Kingdom hearts related or otherwise and whatever else your heart desires. You can also make an image.

 

Video Category- At the Video category you can make a fan made video Kingdom hearts related or otherwise. Make sure to add a catchy music and put high quality scenes. You can give us an old video or a new one.

 

 

Writing Category- The writing category. You can write stories, poems and songs.

 

 

 

Music Category- Remixes, Compositions, arrangements. You can also sing covers of Song and Kh intros

 

 

 

Post the stories…

 

Writing Category- If you want to write a story a song or a poem you can write it with starting a new topic, giving a title and write it. Then post us the link of the story so we can rate it.

 

Video Category- You can post it here or make a topic and send it to us so we can rate the video.

 

Drawing Category- If you have Deviant art or another site where you can post drawings you can upload them there and give us the link. Or you can always post the drawing here.

 

Music Category- Make the music and post it here or upload it on youtube and send us the link.

 

 

Rules

 

 

Just some simple rules you have to follow:

• No bad words in the stories, in the poems or in the songs
• No pervert drawings
• The Video, the Story- Poem- Song or the Drawing has to be yours.
• You must post your work in time.

 

You will have 4 weeks to finish your artwork starting by now. The contestants that chose video category will post first. When the time limit finishes (that will be 5 days) the drawing category will post its artwork and then and then the writing category will post the links of the topics they have made. And finally the music category last.

For every category there will two Judges:

*Blank* positions mean that you can PM me and sign up if you want to be a Judge. But when you become a Judge you will have to be impartial.

We upload them to any hosting site and enter them in this thread or via PM from what I understand.

Just checking, on music, what will you judges be considering?

Mistakes, Timing, Effort, or what?

Also, are we meant to submit one piece of music or can a collection be entered?

 

I judge by skill, sound, orginality and by which things you use in recording and mixing. There should be rules by me in page 3. You can always PM me if you have something to ask.

Just to be clear, in the writing category, you WILL be judging on spelling, grammar, sentence structure, ect., am I correct?

1. Playing my Keyboard, simulating several instruments. However, I did do some minor editing on Openshot Video Editor, for changing instruments in my Keyboard takes a while so I cut parts for each instruments.

2. Recording with my 3DS.

3. Playing my Keyboard, simulating several instruments, including Piano, Electric Piano, and a combination of Piano and Strings at the same time.

Pretty good playing.

+You played well, and it sounded good although it was recorded like that.

+ Arrangement was good.

 

Things you could improve:

You could make more differences on your playing volume, It will make it sound more intresting!

It would be good if you made more of your own stuff on arrangements.

 

One more thing: You should buy one MIDI cable, you can connect your keyboard to computer with it, and record straight on computer, makes it sound best. For recording there is free softwares like Audacity. Thats very cheap way to improve recording!

My keyboard doesn't have volume difference, so no matter how I tap the keys the sound will aways be the same, can't do anything about that. I can try to find a MIDI cable, though, thanks for the tip!
