every new game that has sora as the main character they find a new way to make sora level 1 again. CoM-CO caused him to forget, 2-he woke up and was quite groggy or something (i dont know but thats the gist of it), KH3D-they're in a different realm and they're not in their bodies blah, blah, blah. I was just wondering how you guys think he'll forget his magic and lose his keychains this in kingdom hearts 3. Unless they make even shadows only slightly weaker than master sora

i was playing a game where you kept you're levels and skills and whatnot from the previous game...yea it was the legacy of goku...maybe theyll continue kh 3 from the average level you should be in kh3d...

That's just how games are if you had all your powers from the previous they wold have to make the enemies much stronger and and it would really suck if you're in max lvl cause if you have to lvl up at the next game to earn the abilities then you wont get them cause then your already in max lvl!

The same reason Sora and Riku are their KHI selves. In the RoS, they are pretty much going from square one. I'm sure when they get out they'll have KHII and RoS abilties. Then KH III may have continuity. I think the answer to this was stated a while ago.

This, except it should be the world of sleep. For some reason they won't use the word "realm" to describe it. It's a bit strange but interesting.

riku kept his abilities from kh1 basicly, cuz he never got his memory erased and st00f, but now he might loose some 0.0

I just hope in KH3 Sora actually gets older for once even while starting out at level 1. Worked for KH2.

I think that when they wake up from the dream in KH3D 9if its really gonna be this) Yen Sid will say to them (in KH3) that they did not remember any skills from the dream and they are supposed to find it on their next adventure, so they will gain the mark of mastery that will lead them to new commands that they can learn now... but even if it has not a reason I think that this is the fun of the game u know ^^

tutti frutti. What mfampait says makes sense. For KHCoM I can understand somewhat with gameplay throughout the game, and then Sora and co. losing their memories and having to regain them. But since Riku did pretty much retain a number of his abilites/skills from KH1 through to KH3D (at least to that point) I can see Sora keeping his abilities from KH2 through KH3. Level-wise would be for more of a challenge, but then again the abilities would make Sora crazy strong that it would more than likely take away from the challenge. Don't know if anyone else on here has played the series, but the Yakuza series left the main character with all of his abilities from the previous games and it has its ups and down to me. But it would depend on how the company would go about Sora and Riku keeping all of their abilities.

well the reason why they wont have there abilities from KH2 is because they have to learn how to use the keyblade like they would have if they became apprentance or something like that is what i heard from somewhere but anyway yea i dont think it would be that much fun if they just let you start the new game as the level you were and with all the abilities you had in the previous game to me that just doesnt seem like that much fun its like you have everything and you cant level up anymore its basicly saying this game will not be that chalnge at all because you have all the abilities and all the equipment and everything

Easy: In the world of dream, they're only getting better at using the keyblade and it's powers. But only its basic powers. Magic and equips they get there aren't coming back with them. And, remember, Yen Sid made Sora and Riku forget their self-teachened skills so they could learn how to use the keyblade in the right way.

well if it has been a year in khs chronology since they defeated xemnas, it would be obvious that Sora and riku havent training themselves and because of that they are weak. but i believe better to those theories above AND if theres gonna be, then below.

Something goes totally wrong in the RoS at the end of the game and that´s why they lose their other abilities as well aka "if u wanna save this wonderful seasalt ice cream u hafta use ya full powers but ya will lose them, ´coz I say tho, yay!"
