So, do you plan to get the Wii U when it comes out? I plan on getting one ( but not exactly on the first day it comes out. Getting it when some games like Smash bros and Zelda come out for it). The graphics look great on it and I just know that it will have a great lineup of games over time. I am hoping that it will come with a VC where you can buy GameCube games. That would really convince me (and other Nintendo fans) to buy the Wii U.

  • Rob told you guys the Wii U would be priced at $1-$1000.

  • if there will be a kingdom hearts game on it, hell yeah!

  • I've been and, you all are god damn party poopers. If you can't fit in $300/$350 into your budget, I don't know why most of you are going to get the other consoles coming out. If you could save money,

Some new information regarding the Wii U.

A Nintendo representative has confirmed to Kotaku that you’ll only be able to voice chat with select games. Games that will be supported include Assassin’s Creed 3 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. The Wii U GamePad includes a mic but you won’t be able to use it with in-game voice chat. Instead, you will need to purchase a headset from Turtle Beach or Mad Catz which will plug into the headphone jack. As you may already know, the Wii U Pro Controller doesn’t include a headphone port. You will have to use the headset on the Wii U GamePad, even if you want to play Black Ops 2 online with the Wii U Pro Controller.

Also, third party Wii U games will be more expensive. Online gaming publication CVG has noticed that third-party Wii U games all show a significant mark-up when compared to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions. The publication spoke to an analyst who concluded that the premium price tags are commonplace for new consoles. Popular titles such as Assassin’s Creed 3 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 are around ten pounds more expensive than their Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 counterparts.

Interesting. It doesn't really affect me cause I won't be getting one.

What? Why not allow you to use the mic already inserted? That's so stupid ._.

Yeah I couldn't think a better title for this topic. Sorry for the crappy topic lol.

And my Wii U will still be in the store.

I wonder how much these 3rd party Wii U games will cost.

It's ridiculous hardware decisions like this that make me turn away from a company I used to love in horror. C'mon Nintendo :/

o_O

Seriously?

This is really bad news to hear. This was not a good move on Nintendo's part.

Ehh i could care less. Never used the feature. I'm sure it will all work out in the future.

Wow, already bad news for Nintendo. Oh well I'm not getting it anyways till SSB4 or a Pokemon (stadium/col type) comes out.

Makes complete sense.

Blu-rays are superior to HD DVDs which is why Wii U games will cost more than 360 games.

I would like to know why Wii U games will cost more than PlayStation 3 games though.

So Nintendo can try something new?

Netflix?

Best reply I heard all week.

So you're not going to buy a Wii U because no KH games won't be on it? Shame, you'll be missing out on a lot of good games coming out for it.

I crapped myself laughing when the man started saying, "Sphew Sphew Sphew!"

Netflix?

The only problem i have with this ad is the fact that they put so much emphasis on the controller, as if it were a new accessory for the Wii. Unlike the UK ad,which got straight to the point by saying it's a brand new console, not just a controller.

But anyways i digress, what are your thoughts about this guys?

I see this commercial more as marketed towards the uninformed casual crowd than your typical gamer who would have by now looked up any WiiU info on the internet or made up their mind on weather to buy one. :P

Here's the first ever unboxing of the Wii U.

After watching this video. It is decided that I am going to save up for the Wii U now. Luckily for me, Nintendo recently stated that there will be a lot of Wii U units for America than there will be for Europe and Japan (suprised that Japan isn't getting as much units as America). So I don't have to worry about GameStop or any other stores running out
