English dubs are alright for me, as long as 4kids, Cartoon Network, and DisneyXD stays away. (Except Adult Swim. Let them dub good anime.)

 

I don't really mind Japanese dubs that much, I'm watching Digimon with English subtitles. The only thing that ticks me off is that DisneyXD gets Digimon Xros Wars. (ANOTHER SEASON THEY WILL SCREW UP.) Look what they did to Digimon Masters, No one likes "Marcus" since he promotes animal abuse. THAT AND NO GOOGLES.

I like watching anime in English with subtitles, because that's how I like to watch everything. Except for The Big Boss, I like watching it in Cantonese.

I watch subbed if i like the anime and just wanna watch everything cuz its not dubbed yet. I watch dub when the dubbed versions sound better than the Japanese versions. Like with dragon ball z for instance.

So when watching anime do you watch it in Japanese with subtitles? Or do you watch it in English?

I mostly prefer dub but some animes only feel right when you watch them in Japanese and some only feel right when you watch them in English

 

Dragon Ball Z in particular,I HAVE to watch it in English,cuz the Japanese voice acting for DBZ sucks ass,especially Goku's voice oh god it's terrible

 

But in other animes like say....mmmm Naruto,it makes sense to me to watch it in Japanese as the world itself feels more like it belongs to a Japanese folklore or mythology

Don't really watch anime but If I were to I would go with subbed for various reasons. 

Dub.. subtitles are a distraction and take the audience out of the story.. Even if the acting or voices suck, Dub always.

I'll watch the sub if the dub is not available or if I think the dub is bad. I'll watch the dub if i see the dub first & I think it's good.

It depends. If I can watch the dub, then I always choose that. Otherwise, I watch subs. (Speaking of dubs, Neon Alley's going free next month, which means free Naruto/Shippuden dubs. I can finally watch those! )

I like both, but I prefer to watch in English considering its my natural speaking language, among other things.

Both but I prefer subs most of the time, I'm not a Japanese lover or whatever this stupid thing you call a "weeaboo", but I feel that the Japanese VA have more emotions and expression compare to English dubs, and they tend to be top notch when you're listening to a drama/dramatic scene.  I'm not saying English dubs are bad or anything, but for myself I don't feel/hear the same amount of emotions that when listening to the English dubs most of the time compared to the original Japanese VA. Some times it's good, great, or forced, of course everyone has their preference but this is just me and my opinion. Plus I've been used to the Japanese language since I watch many other stuff besides Anime online.

Can't stand Sean Schemmel's Growls(not to mention Funi makes his lines sound like something Superman would say)...and can't stand Chris Sabat as Vegeta/Piccolo

Would rather have Peter Kelamis as Goku(Ocean/Pioneer Dub for 3 First DBZ Movies) and have Brain Drummond as Vegeta

DBZ's Dub is so horrible...especially when it comes to the dialogue changes...oh god...then again DBZ sucks after Freeza

Dragonball on the other hand had a good dub...Stephanie Nadolny as Kid Goku hell yeah

Anything unrelated to 4kids is good. They can ruin perfect animes.But generally when I watch anime I watch japanese dubs. The voice actor are generally better, and I can understand the characters emotions.The maniac screams/laughs, etc. are always awesome..Also there's too much editing. Screw the kids, I want my swearing Hidan and extreme blood losses.

Yeah.....until they got to the other seasons after where they started to change stuff for no reason and censor things that didn't need to be censored

 

Dude,they censored a normal Japanese rice ball into a Subway Sandwich,this seems little compared to their other abominations

 

 

And don't get me started on the monstrosity that is their One Piece dub where EVERY SINGLE THING IS CENSORED

I personally find that dubs can be good, but most of them are really bad

Im Neutral, even with DBZ, i can stand Goku's silly voice(and some of the voices for other subbed protagonists *coughs*edwardelric*cough*) due to the action and the fact that i just plain dont give a damn. I can watch either one, although i prefer Dub since im a first hand Englsih speaker.

MasakoX from TFS does a better job as Goku than Sean Schemmel FFS

LittleKuriboh is a better Freeza than Linda Young too

Like on Shakugan no Shana I had no problem watching it in subs.

But for Blue Excorsists I just can't watch in subs.

But its good that we have subs cause some movies never came out in America.
