Update 3: Not much of an update, but still interesting nonetheless. Square Enix have updated their page explaining the different editions of Kingdom Hearts 3D to include the game's boxart.

Update 1: The box cover artwork has been updated with a higher quality version from Square Enix's e-STORE's Twitter. This is the same size, but slightly clearer and without the Nintendo 3DS box template.

 

The front cover of the Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance game box has been revealed. As usual, the front cover features artwork by Tetsuya Nomura, depicting characters from the game. It's very pretty, so we hope you like it as much as we do! Thanks to aibo_ac7 for the tip.

It's amazing! Anyone else notice that Sora is falling (and Mickey is reaching for him)? Kinda goes with the whole "light falls into darkness" thing, don't you think?

 

Maybe thats why riku is pointed up......still wondering why it looks like sora has no muscle whatsoever.....Is it just me or does mickey have new clothes too?

Just seeing how Sora is falling, and it looks like Mickey is reaching for Sora, possibily to stop his fall, makes me believe that something bad is going to happen to Sora in this game...

Sora is falling and he has his eyes closed, like he's sleeping. Riku is wide awake and not falling. Mickey is reaching for the falling Sora. I think this may mean that Riku makes it out of the dream world but Sora becomes trapped there.

Nomura's so clever with his imagery, it kinda reminds me of the ReCoM cover! Plus I think he's getting even better like I love the colour and shadows, I never quite understand his penchant depicting Sora snoozing but it also makes a nice image

It's official. I'm going to be mentally unstable the entire time I'm waiting for the US release. It's not fair that they have the region block and I can't afford (or justify) a Japanese 3DS for this game! This is tortuuuurrrreeee!!

 

This artwork is so beautiful. I'm really glad Mickey made it on the cover. I was starting to think he wouldn't. (Catch him, Mickey!) Hopefully the official site will update soon with a wallpaper using this artwork
