Lea is clearly asking Yen Sid for something at 8:48 of the new trailer.

When Yen Sid says it is not an easy path, could Lea be asking for a Keyblade?

You can't just ask for a Keyblade. Unless Yen Sid hadn't passed down his Keyblade to anyone yet and was considering doing it to Lea.

Lea may have been asking to go into the Realm of Sleep and help Sora and Riku

Something tells me Lea wanted to get inside the Realm of Sleep to get back at Xehanort for turning him into a nobody.

Lea was not one of Ansems Apprentices therefore he gave into the darkness and then became a heartless and then a nobody was created, therefore Lea probably might want to save Roxas his best friend by saving Sora from Xehanort

I agree, Lea was probably asking for a way to enter the Realm of Sleep, or an alternate way to go save Roxas & Xion, but Im sure the way to save them is through the realm of sleep.

You dont know exactly what happened to Lea..He mighta been stabbed or Isa and him snuck into the castle and were forced or coerced or tricked..I do think hes there to go into the Realm of Sleep to help though.

I don't think Yen Sid just gives out free keyblades. Also, Lea already has a weapon.

6:25 Roxas was talking about how he said that he'll bring them back = Axel entering the RoS to save them. And helping Sora and Riku because... well why wouldn't he?

Its possible that he could get one but thats not why he went to Yen Sid..He wanted to go help In the RoS...But im not denying the possibilty of it ever happening.

No, I can't picture Lea ever wielding a Keyblade. I always thought he was asking to go in to the dream realm.

I always did wonder if he wore something else under that coat. As for him becoming a keyblade master I really can't say.It may or may not work because a keyblade is alot different from Lea's chakrams. Despite all the opinions I don't think that there's enough evidence to prove anything yet.

Although I think now that he is back he may eventually gain his heart may become strong as he is determined beyond belief to save Roxas and Xion. I think if he does get a keyblade it would be the Bond of Flammes in KH3...Although no one will be saved in 3D Normura stated he's wating till KH3 to save everyone.

Well if he's looking for something, and he is asking Yen Sid to help him, I would assume he's looking for a way to get Roxas. That was basically his entire role in KH2. He betrayed the Organization, in hopes that he could reunite with his dear sake friend, even going to the depths of trying to turn Sora into a Heartless.

 

I wouldn't be surprised if he retained his role again in this game. In this game, he's going to do it a more "nicer" way. That's probably why he saved Mickey, because he probably thought Mickey could help him, which would lead to asking Yen Sid to help him, and more likely, Yen Sid is probably going to let him to go to the Realm of Sleep, in which he might find the answer.

I don't think Lea is asking for a keyblade. I think he is talking to Yen Sid about finding Ventus, helping Sora and Riku, fighting Xehanort, or something else entirely. But not a Keyblade.
