You can't just ask for a Keyblade. Unless Yen Sid hadn't passed down his Keyblade to anyone yet and was considering doing it to Lea.

I have written a screenplay for a film adaptation of KH3D on Fanfiction.net here: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/8541961/1/Kingdom-Hearts-3D-Dream-Drop-Distance-a-script and I somewhat specified Lea's reason for wanting to become a keyblade wielder as a reward for saving Mickey from Maleficent, who in this version uses his sexy wits to send her away. (now that oughta please a few fangirls)
