Is there a way to block a user on here?

Posted

Title pretty much says it. There's someone on here (i'm not naming anyone) who has really been pressing my red button lately. I'm a very religious person (if you can't tell by my sig) and i don't want to deal with his sacrilege, but i don't want to leave the site. I don't mean he's seeking me out or anything, it's just i get sick of it, that's all. Is there a way to block someone? Thank you much.

Is this person sending messages to you, that goes against your beliefs, or is he just being outright anti-religious in his posts overall?

I don't know if u can block people, but u can report them.

Overall.

if y start PM with this person there is option, block user at below. Click it and he/she wont be a problem in PMs anymore.

Go to My Settings > Ignore Preferences. You can add a username and choose whether to ignore posts, signature, and in the messenger.

Um...sort of depends. I mean, if you're just reading the guy's posts and they're anti-religious, you can't just block him so you don't see his stuff. At least I don't think the site works that way. It might do and you can block other users from talking to you and posting on your wall. But I'm pretty sure posts are a different story.

Well, I think you can block posts, but that's pretty useless. Just ignore them, or there's a report button the mods stress is ALWAYS there.

I said I was SORRY!!!!

Why do I get a feeling I'm guilty

Because you are.

Because you are.

Oops?

Honestly I only made one thread that was "against religion" and it was actually made to clear up some confusion I had.

And then I guess I had some mention of not liking religion on something I made on writing...

Yeah, not sure why you'd block me if I barely post about this.

As previously mentioned, just go to your settings and edit it.

Dude, you're taking things to far. ._. I'm also highly religious, and you can't block the whole world, especially when people don't mean to be offensive. Kinode didn't mean to offend you. Don't be so sensitive--there's a lot of things in real life that are much worse that you can't block. Did you even talk to him about it?

Are you serious?

If a person is atheist and want to share it let them. Its quite pathetic you are basically wanting to block this person because you are butt hurt and offended about him being an atheist and saying stuff about it. If someone is religious, they can say basically anything, but if someone is an atheist and says something you get so damn offended. I think you need to see your facts, and knowing Kinode, he doesn't say really anything rude. Also if he was confused, then he was confused. No need to get easily offended by this.

That's stupid. Kinode isn't seeking you out to constantly ridicule or insult your beliefs. I honestly think your reaction to this is idiotic.

Well I didn't really man to put it that way... o.o'

But I kinda do agree that you didn't really need to go out of your way and block me, if you felt offended you could have just told me about it. I apologize if I said anything that might've offended you and I'll try not to do it again.

Do this.

But really, I don't know why you can't just deal with it.. some people are going to have different opinions than you, that shouldn't bother you this much.
