*Minor spoilers* What was Nomura so worried about?

Posted

So in multiple interviews before the release of kh3d Nomura spoke about the constant changes to the ending of the game .. he also said he was really worried because he did something different this time around and was waiting to see players reactions .. he also said there'd be a shocking event to occur after the credits ended ( Ventus waking up? Kairi finally learning to use the keyblade?.. did anyone really not expect these things to happen?) But seriously, what was the drastic change?

That the ending wasn't going to be well liked by the players. I really enjoyed the regular ending and the secret ending.

i liked them, though it was just a suprise that Kairi comes to training

my guess would be doing the question at the end of the game instead of at the begining and useing them for the secret ending. to me thats the biggest dramatic change

I honestly like kairi, and was hoping she'd be playable since we saw her with a keyblade in kh2 .. so the secret ending was good news for me, but it wasn't really secret ending worthy, you know I'd say the only really unexpected thing for me was lea getting a keyblade, I mean even Yen Sid had to stand for that one.

True, plus it was apparently needed to unlock the secret ending, so you may be on to something there.

That he didn't leave much of a mystery?

He told you exactly what were the 7 guardians of light and 13 seekers of darkness and then proceeded to show Lea getting a Keyblade and getting Kairi. Although, they aren't confirmed, the guessing game isn't that hard.

My guess would be that the secret ending wasn't very mysterious and CGI. I know BbS and Re:Coded Secret Endings weren't CGI either so yea..

but bbs left a lot of mystery im thinking that the ending didnt really leave much to think about

maby if we got the second part of the ending translated and knew where the hell sora was going we would..... just saying

Did you just blank out when AXEL of all people got a keyblade? A lot of people aren't going to like that, and it was fairly unexpected (Obviously the surprise was exaggerated, but that's marketing for you)

First of all, Lea got a keyblade, not Axel

Second, he has a keyblade, doesn't mean he prefers using it over his chakrams

Third, if he loses one or the other, he has a back up weapon

Fourth, he can dual wield a chakram and his keyblade if need be.

That Sora didn't pass. And he wasn't mad about it. I mean Sora is the protagonist. He is practically the most lovable character and taking the right to be a master away from him, just doesn't sit right with fans.

it might be

because of what happened to sora at the end. it's usually never pretty when something "bad" happens to the main chara~

he might have orignally written for something worse to take place, but disney made him tone it done abit~

First of all, you're being pedantic. They're the same person. It's like if you mentioned Xion and I said 'No, her name's No. i!'

Second, who cares which he uses? What does that have to do with what I said?

Third, good for Axel

Fourth, again, good for Lea

Fifth, what did any of this have to do with what I said? I didn't mention anything about HOW Axel would wield his keyblade, just that Lea GOT a keyblade at all.

I agree, it was probably a sadder ending.

Idk if he still has full use of his chakrams anymore, but chances are he'll just throw his keyblade around now, i mean there's been multiple characters with the ability to throw their keyblades and make them reappear. He maybe the new mid-ranged fighter in coming up games.

I was replying to what the fans might think and providing an ample amount of reasons that Lea getting a Keyblade isn't all that bad.. It was just that you mentioned Lea/Axel, so I quoted your post.

Also, Xion is not No I. Nomura just scrambled those letters to make her name, but it doesn't mean she her original persona was No I. Axel is a nobody, and Lea is the original persona. Two different things, even though they share the same thinking and actions. He even makes a big deal about it when they are calling him Axel and he says it's Lea.

It would be weird because he throws his chakrams with fire attach to them. His keyblade is shaped like a chakram with fire coming out of it. Also, it would be highly dangerous to throw a keyblade. If the person you throw it to is a keyblade wielder can't they just catch it and not give it back?

Like Roxas vs. Riku, when Riku used the Oblivion?

Although I've always wanted to see someone hold a keyblade by the chain or someone who can reanimate their keyblade every swing, which would make it seem like they were dual wielding if they used both of their hands. I know in Re:Coded you get a move called Chain Rave, but I haven't actually seen someone do anything close in a cutscene.

Looks the same. Acts the same. Has different name

Different person.

Makes sense.

I liked the ending. But, like many others, was expecting something like deep dive. Kairi wasn't all that surprising. However, if it were like, Ventus instead, now THAT would be surprising.

Strike raid, Freeze raid ,and all the other "raids " say HI !!! Those all have you "throw " your keyblade .Also as the keyblades wielder it can be called back to you like when Sora battled Roxas and Sora called his back after Roxas had them and Roxas was like WTF ?

...Roxas was like WTF ?

ROFLMAO!!!!

Wow totally forgot about the raid attacks. But in that scene, Sora took forever to get the keyblade back... just saying.

probably just took him a while to remember he could do that, Sora is kinda slow after all.

~He isn't that slow~

If Lea is a playable character in KH3, id enjoy having his fighting style having his keyblade in one hand, and a chakram in the other for throwing, reminiscent of Sora's Master Form.
