HD Remake: Confirmed or Rumor?

Posted

(Kindly let me know if there is a post on this already, I could not find one.)

Ok so quick question: I watched a youtube video saying a KH HD Remake was confirmed. I've been out the loop in all of this and wanted to know if this is true or still in rumor phase?

Featured Replies

NO. NO. NO. WHY DOES HE LIE!!

It is currently one of Nomura's favorite ways of trolling us.

One of many!

I think its a rumor but i heard that theyre remaking FFX in HD also i wouldnt really buy it unless theres FM features

It's only a rumour, but it has basis considering the many hints SE and Nomura have dropped, most blatantly that Nomura himself has said that he is interested in the idea of HD remakes of KH.

Expect at least a compilation of some sort, because Nomura keeps mentioning that he wants a way for new fans to be up to date.

They're really remaking FFX? So basically they did this:

Fans: REMAKE FFVII!

Square Enix: Hey, why don't we remake FFX? Genius!

Fans: http://kh13.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/ohmy.png

Square Enix: I'm so glad we listened to our fans!

Fans: >.>

Tetsuya Nomura said he'd rather not remake FFVII because he doesn't wanna live in the past, yet he's remade literally almost every final fantasy game EXCEPT FFVII! Hipocrite much? I just think he's too scared to remake it.

Heh, DualPixels trolled everyone hard. And that was but a piece of the pre E3 rumor mill, which often features things that are waaaaaaaay too good to be true. The solution is to never trust gaming websites in the weeks before E3. Still, a KH HD Collection would be nice to hold us over until the eventual 3. And if it were released for the Wii U, all the more better for Wally here. But, never believe anything a gaming news website says (even the big-name sites like IGN) unless they have hard, official evidence to back it up.

Tetsuya Nomura stated that he was interested in making an HD Collection like two months ago idk about this video that you are talking about but i heard this from a interview in gameinformer so dont just shoot it down, they are thinking about it.

WHY would Tetsuya Nomura remake a Final Fantasy game? Besides Versus XIII, he's only ever been a character designer.

Sucks it was just a rumor.

But I would like a remake of 358 2 Days on the 3DS...
