Nope, the 3DS isn't just a 3D enhancement of a DS, it has better graphics that the DS/DSi would not be able to handle. Therefore no 3DS game can be played on the DS.

Sorry, but forward compatibility hasn't been invented.

Absolutely not. The cartridge wouldn't even fit in the machine.

Not possible. The DS wouldn't be able to run it. Besides, 3DS games have a little tab that dont even allow it to go into the DS

you can play ds games on 3ds but you cant play 3ds games on a ds or a dsi

... It's a 3DS game. 3DS games cannot be played on anything other than a 3DS (so far. who knows what they'll come up with next...).

I don't know why everybody keeps buying these systems, the original GameBoy has all forward compatibility.

tutti frutti. I'm sure that if Nintendo, or any other gaming company, had forward compatibility, they would let us know.
