It was a rainy day, when tons of people went to a graveyard -- a very important man had passed away, but the reason of his death was still unknown. His older son, a twenty-years old man, was desperate -- he just couldn’t stop crying.
Then people gave some medicine to him, which managed to calm him down. His younger brother did not seem to care too much for his father’s death, and was there merely to give interviews to journalists.
That day surely was terrible for his family. He was known around the world for his research, which almost proved that there was live outside Earth -- and that there were countless planets around this Universe.
He left everything he had discovered in a secret room, and before dying, gave the key to his older son, who was entrusted to continue that research, and prove to everyone that this world is much bigger, and that Earth is just a tiny piece of it.
Many months passed, but George still hadn’t the courage to use the key and enter that secret room -- all the memories of the good, happy days with his dad would come back at once, and sadness would overrun his heart.
But what could be waiting for him there? Maybe something that his dad had found but decided to keep to himself instead of revealing to everyone?
These questions just couldn't get out of his mind. It was just when his father’s death completed one year that he felt brave enough to finally find everything that was hidden in that room. But before getting the key, a flashback of his last conversation with his dad suddenly showed up in his head.
“My son.... My time here is approaching... and you --- you need to keep my research until you finally find the truth...” Kei said.
“But dad... you’re not sick.. Why are you saying that? And what’s that ‘truth’ you are speaking of?” Worried, George replied.
“I just have a feeling... You’ll find it someday, I’m sure. But please, promise me that you’ll carry on... everything I did during my entire life....” Kei said with a tone of sadness.
“Of course, father, anything you want, I’ll do.” George replied as if he knew that his dad was right and that soon he’d live this world for good.
“Thank you... Your journey starts as soon as I leave this life... I wish you good luck, and I want to say that I always loved you, and I’ll aways be there, at your side... My son, come hug your old dad....” Kei said this with tears falling from his eyes.
“Dad... I love you as well.. So much... Please, just don’t go. I need you, and I’ll always need you by my side...” George started crying and so they hugged each other.
Just by remembering that fateful conversation, tears fell from George’s eyes, and he knew that no matter what was hidden in that room -- his dad would be with him, in spirit, guiding and providing protection to his beloved son.
Meanwhile, before he could open the door, he heard some strange noise, which seemed to be coming from downstairs. But in reality, it was his younger brother, Filipe, who wanted to distract him and manage to get a place to hide, and try to enter the secret room as well. His goal was to find out everything his dad kept hidden, but since his brother was with the key, he needed to enter after him.
So, after finding out that the noise stopped, he finally used the key to open that door. The key had a strange shape -- filled with little balls that could easily be considered replicas of planets. He was now about to understand what his father was talking about before he died.
