Hmm something got me curious, well since their making this all HD and what not, changing modles and that cool stuff, but do you think they may do revoicing? cause they did it for one of the Silent hill games, idk if they will , BUT if they do, will they continue to use Haley ? for Sora ( younger, KH1 ) , I mean the guy, has hit puberty~, I mean they went ahead and used him in KH re: Com , but it was just such a jump in voices, from little squeaky sora~ to Ima man nao, Sora, don't get me wrong I love both voices, it just looks weird seeing little sora with big sora voice I miss that voice~ i wonder why they didnt try to get a diff person? Idk for all I know Haley Joel Osment could have a contract of sorts, but any way

 

If they did would you like it , why why not, would it be a good or bad idea?

 

Personaly for me, if they used big Sora's voice in KH1, it would bother me a bit, it Kinda did in Chain of Memories, i love Haley, I think his voice goes very well for Sora, its bright happy, but in the first game Sora seemed more serious when his voice was higher ,

 

It COULD be a good thing, but for people who are bothered by voice changed, ( not in voice actor persay, but if they like a way one line is said in one , they may hat ethe new way they might of said or even pronounced)

I kind of like the original voicing, so why mess with success?

If anything, find a new voice actor for Sora in Re:com. If Haley can't do the voice anymore, there is no point in keeping him on. I love him for kh2 and on but young sora is a different story.

I don't want them to change voice actors It's too late for that, Haley is Sora and that's that. Having said that, I don't want them to redub Kingdom Hearts 1, I'd prefer squeaky voiced Sora, because its the only game we have a squeaky voiced Sora!!! The nostalgia just wouldn't be the same. It's just not KH1 without it. I mean, just imagine Haley's current voice...actually...that wouldn't be too bad I guess...I highly doubt they'd get someone else to do it, as Haley has been voicing Sora even when he's younger for...huh, 10 years has it really been? So yeah, no one else.

I'm a bit jealous

the last time I could hear the German voices in KH was in KH II because no dub for KH after KH II

but because Sora's voice actor is a normal actor, too (and the son of the official Mickey Mouse voice actor btw) I was able to see him in films and I'm glad that his voice didn't change much

Roxas' voice actor is very active and was the official voice of Harry Potter from Film 3+ and was Lelouch from Code Geass

Axel and Zorro from One Piece have the same voice actor and .......

I miss the voices so much

but it's really sad...the voice actor of Leon fit perfectly, but he died with just the age of 38

 

at least I really really hope that Square will use the old dub for KH ReMIX if this comes to EU/NA

For the sake of nostalgia, I say don't redub it. But, if they absolutely have to, I hope Osment does NOT voice Sora the way he did in 3D. Seriously...just...no.

Osment for ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The very thought of replacing him should be both illegal and forbidden.

what I think....why redub when there is already a good dub available?

they have to dub the new scenes when the collection comes to the west...that's all

but it depends on if SE want to give especially EU their own dubs back or not because the last games had only English voices

old games and Days cutscenes with English voices => fit to the newer games (= save money)

old games and Days cutscenes with their old (or "new") voices => it's like you play the old games, but with some changes (= have to do dubs of the new scenes for NA/UK, France, Germany and Spain)

 

but what I'm sure about....in case of EU...all that depends on how much Disney has to say because SE won't spend much money for a EU localization (I only need to mention DDD)

I played Epic Mickey 2 the last days and it has a full localized dub (English, French, Spanish, Italian, German and Russian for the normal EU version)

and Disney used the voice actor of Axel, Jack Sparrow/Auron (he spoke both characters) and of course the official voice actors of Mickey, Donald, Goofy etc for the German version

 

we can only wait to see how SE or maybe Disney will do this

I love Haley's voice! I think they shouldn't change the voice in KH1 or KH2, but honestly, I wouldn't mind in they got some other voice actor that sounded like young Sora to be in Chain of Memories. CoM is probably my least favorite game because 1)The voice doesn' match Sora's age 2) Horrid jap to eng lipsinc and 3) the animation didn't match KH1. I think if they found a decent kid that sounds like young Sora, I'd be so happy!

I really doubt they won't make any new voiceacting. I just don't see they using old recordings...

I'd like to see HJO for Sora again, even if he doesn't have the most appropriate voice, this just deserves to him. I think anyways.
