Shit, this is beautiful.

Yesh! Great song for great anime :)

Awesome. Hope she writes a new one for Kingdom Hearts 3 since its a numbered title and the most awaited game from the series, definitely deserves a new song.

Well, I don't hate her. Still love her music anyways and always on my iPod. I know there was some dispute with her and Disney back with the other Kingdom Heart games so I don't blame her. Disney is gonna need to work hard to bring her back and I have a feeling they will for KH3. Everyone loves her music and I'm sure it got a lot of attention from KH 3D as it was an orchestra version of the original. Heck I'm listening to Hikari (PLANITb Remix)  right now.

Uhh...she likes what she likes? Why would I hate her for doing something that isn't KH? She's been singing for, and has been a fan of, Evangelion for years, way before she did for KH. I don't think she'll ever come back to KH because I doubt the translation team will leave the songs as is. Aside from the more popularly distributed reason of Utada not making any more new songs for KH because of Disney not paying her enough, she also stopped for artistic reasons. Utada also said that she doesn't like translating her songs because she works hard on them and no matter what when they get translated things just get lost. She sees them as beautiful the way they are and doesn't want her songs translated anymore so that they stay in tact. I reckon that part of the reason why she sings for Evangelion still is because even in the translated versions her songs are kept in Japanese.

Oh god, this made me think we might just get an orchestral version of Simple and Clean for Kh3's opening.

I'm expecting it. Or an orchestral version of Sanctuary.

I fell in love with Utada's music before I got into KH, it just so happens that I love KH because Utada was in it...

In the end square enix kept milking Simple and Clean/Passion

I hope they either get her back, or get someone else to come up with something completely new.

Maybe Yoko can whip something up... Something like "Somnus".

I really don't care if she wouldn't come back, her songs has been good, but it's not impossible to find someone to fill her place. And I don't want to push artist to do things that she doesn't want to.

Also Evangelion is one of the best animes ever so I can't complain if she likes it. And her music fits it well

Aw, man. DDD's opening just didn't feel right without vocals. I wonder how Sanctuary would fare.

I always thought that they could get that girl who did Lullaby For You in The World Ends With You. She'd be perfect to fill Utada's shoes.

i think we'd be big duckheads if we hate her for not doing something KH related. She's fine to do and like whatever she wants. Though the series might not seem the same without her, i'm pretty sure she'll try to stay for KH as much as she could. That aside, we still have Yoko Shimomura. We might always get an awesome musical intro without vocals even if Utada drops out. I guess it's still a win situation xD

I actually like the fact that she's doing something non-kh. Isn't really a bad thing imo

I can't say I'd hate her for doing something non KH related, she's a singer after all, her songs don't have to solely represent KH. I will say I would be a bit disappointed if she didn't do a song for KH3 though, not the end of the world but still, if worst comes to worst, I'd rather they just recycle Simple and Clean or Sanctuary like they've been doing.

Love Utada... love Evangelion... no problems here.
