Posted

What was the point in Atlantic returning in kh2 don't get me wrong I liked it in the first kh but just didn't see the real need for that world to return in the kh2 they could have use a better world to add to the story and winnie the pooh what was the point in that returning ?

Yeah that was ok I didn't mind it in the first one or the second but I was more like what's the point in this being in the game for the second one

I didn't mind 100 Acre Woods in KH2. At least the story there made some sense. When you visit Atlantica Ariel acts as if she's meeting Ursula for the first time.

Exactly and she knew what ursula is like because of the events in kh1 and sora and the gang defeated her and everything I would have expected her to not listen to her or something. The first impression when I saw Atlantic on the world map in kh2 was that they were going to do the sequel to the movie return to the sea with Ariels daughter

I never liked Atlantica

BUT I LIKED 100 ACRE WOODS.

And in the conclusion, I have no idea of why they decided to bring in Atlantica. Maybe...

NOMURA WANTED TO SEE SORA STRIP AGAIN.

Are you implying that Atlantica's story line didn't? The story line for the Atlantica world was the same story line in the movie "The Little Mermaid" just starring Sora, Donald, & Goofy.

She obviously knew who she was but was so desperate to be w/ the one she loved that she didn't care what she had to do to be with him. Which is why she accepts the deal Ursula makes in the first place.

EDIT:

Both the 100 Acre Woods & Atlantica worlds were just mini-game worlds that helped teach Sora important lessons.

Haha! Didn't actually notice I spelt them wrong till you pointed out ! Sorry :P

I feel like they could have done a bit more for Atlantica...the whole musical thing in KH2 was just a waste of time (for me anyway)

Not gonna lie, I did enjoy the 100 Acre Woods, the games were fun.

You're kidding yourself if you think any Disney World in KH2 added to the story

Atlantica and the 100 Acre Wood were just there to mix things up

I think it was meant to give you a break after fighting so many heartless.

High school Musical: Atlantica style

I kinda wished you could fight in Atlantica in KH2. I'm pretty sure Ariel's limit would be badass.

If that world was to return in KH3 or any future title then I would like them to use the story in the little mermaid 2 return to the sea that would be better than another musical

You do realize The Little Mermaid is about 81% singing and 19% story, right?

Okay, most of the story made sense I suppose, but there definitely is one part which makes absolutely no sense. Below is an excerpt from the scene where Ariel meets Ursula in KH2:

"Ariel, you poor child!"

"You're Ursula -- the sea witch! Didn't my father banish you?"

"That's right, angelfish. But how could I stay away... when I knew you were so miserable? What you need is a woman's advice."

Didn't my father banish you? You eliminated her along with Sora and the gang!

And the way she says, "You're Ursula -- the sea witch!" makes it sound like she knew off here but hadn't personally met her until now.

Ursula was resurrected by the power of darkness, she said "You're Ursula-- the sea witch!" To me she said it like: Holy firetruck, we killed your ass! How?!

The 100 Acre Wood was nice, because they were continuing the story of Pooh and co. from KH1.  As for Atlantica....yeesh, I guess they just wanted to torment us again with it.  I didn't really see the point in it either.

Holy firetruck, we killed your ass! How?!

And yet she says this my father banished you stuff instead of remembering she herself was part of killing her.

Winnie the pooh's world was aweosme <3

Also they were pretty much there as the side worlds of the game. Atlantica...I wouldn't mind that being replaced :P Not 100 acre wood though

As TVTropes described it, they were 'Breather Levels'.

I mean, after all the mind-screws that Sora goes through, it's nice to have a world that's combat free.

Honestly, Disney worlds rarely make any difference in the story.

But those are minigame worlds. Every KH game has one. You could question KH if you want

I'm not the biggest fan of them, but they're cool I guess. It's kinda fun

You do realize The Little Mermaid is about 81% singing and 19% story, right?

Honestly, what the hell is wrong with this guy? Are you seriously pretending that other Disney movies of that time are NOT about singing? Did you forget A WHOLE NEW WORLD or FRIEND LIKE ME? Every Disney movie had the songs.

How many songs were there in Atlantica in KH1? That's right, 0.

Just because they went a different road with KHII doesn't mean Atlantica is bad. I for one enjoyed Atlantica in KH1, because it was a refreshing change from the regular running around. Swimming around was cool, even though the controls needed to get used to.

I really hope Agrabah and Atlantica return in KHIII.
