I'm the boy and Yes I know, but the update has completely screwed it, no video output or anything so manually formatting it is my only choice.

The PS3 is the only one from the 7th generation I bothered to buy.  Still need more games for it but I love it and don't understand why there's fanboys who bash it without using it.

You know what stinks? I bought a ps3 on ebay a year ago that was described as backwards compatible. Went to go play a ps2 game for the first time, it doesn't support backwards compatibility D:

You can't always trust sellers on ebay. If I were you, I would have searched for an older model on amazon that has backwards compatability.
